In his room, he offered you a seat in a hammock on the balcony. You sat down and motioned for Joe to sit next to you. He sat down and there was silence for quite a while and a lot of space between you guys. You broke the silence.
"So Joe, are you enjoying South Africa?"
"Yes absolutely, I'm looking for a reason to stay here." He said.
"I can think of one." You said as you leaned in closer. As soon as your lips were less than a few cm away, you heard "JOEEE!"
You both pulled away as Caspar walked in.
"Wow. Sorry did I interrupt something."
"Nah. Nothing." You said.
He quickly spoke to Joe and left the room.
"What was that about?" You asked Joe when he came and sat next to you.
"It's about our movie."
"Everything okay?" You asked.
"Yeah. Are you okay?"
"No. Joe I'm not okay. I really like you. I've liked you for ever now. Since you started your YouTube channel. It's been my dream to someday meet you. And now that I've met you, you like me too. And it all feels like a dream."
And it was. It was all a dream. Because all you answered to his question was. "Yes Joe. I'm alright."
You sat in silence once again on the hammock. And many things crossed your mind. You wondered if you actually did like him as much as you had thought. Or if it was just the person he seemed to be online. All of this thinking was interrupted by Joe.
"Kayla."
"Yeah, Joe?"
"Would you like to go out for supper?"
"With the guys?" You asked.
"No, just you and me."
You were jumping for joy on the inside but played it cool and answered "Yeah, that sounds fun."
