Travelling Love

Chapter Nine

You and Zoe ended up talking and giggling about Joe for quite a long time. She told you about all the embarrassing things Joe use to do as a child. All of this just made you more and more fond of him.

After an hour, Joe came up to his room. It was 7pm already.
"Hey ladies" he said.
You both giggled as he walked in.
"Oh no, has she told you all my dark secrets?"
Zoe winked as you carried on laughing.
"Well, the guys and I are planning to go to a hotel for supper, down by the beachfront if you girls are interested."
"That sounds great!" Zoe said.
"What time we going?" You asked.
"We're leaving in about half an hour" he said, winking and smiling at you.
Zoe got up.
"I'll leave you love birds alone for the half an hour before we go. So I can catch up with the guys downstairs."

Joe sat down next to you and grabbed your hands. You stared down at his hands but could see he was staring up at you.
"Kayla. You sure you're alright?" He asked.
"Joe. You can keep a secret right?"
"Of course baby."
"Okay. And you won't do anything about this after I've told you. You promise?"
"Uhm. Sure."
"Okay well Joe, the other day when I was sitting with Caspar and you on the couch. Then you got up, right? So when you went to the bathroom then Caspar moved really close to me. And well, he, he tried to kiss me."
"That son of a.."
"No, Joe. Please. You promised."
"Josh told me that Caspar had a thing for you. And I told Josh that if Caspar tries anything, he's dead. Because I love you." Joe angrily said.
"And Joe, I love you back. So you don't have to worry about Caspar. Really, I promise. I'm not a cheater."

He wrapped his arms around your waist and you threw your arms onto Joe's shoulders. He pulled you in tightly. And you hugged for what felt like 5 minutes.

"JOE! KAYLA!" Caspar called.
"Ugh. That guy."
"Breathe babe!" You said.
You both walked down to the lounge area and sat with everybody. Oil was there too now. A small spot next to Caspar was open. As well as next to Zoe. Caspar motioned for you to sit next to him as Joe sat with Zoe. But instead you sat on Joe's lap. Josh and Joe understood. And Joe quickly told Zoe what was going on as everybody was having their own conversations. You were leaving in about 15 minutes so you and Zoe got up to go quickly redo makeup and hair.

"So Caspar hey? He's tried me so many times, girl. Don't worry. He tries his luck." Zoe said.
"Yeah, he's cute and everything. But I mean seriously, I really like Joe a lot. And he should be happy for him. Not trying to break us up already."
"Yeah, Kay. I getcha."

She did your makeup touch ups and you did her hair. Then swopped roles as she did your hair and you did her makeup.

You rushed downstairs with only 2 minutes to spare.

"Wow you guys are actually finished on time." Joe chuckled.

"Yeah you've got a lot of experience with girls taking their time, hey Joe." Zoe laughed.

You all got into your Audi and drove to the restaurant at the beachfront, it was called "Salt".

"Booking for 6, under Sugg, please." Joe said.

"Ah yes. Right over here." The doorman said as he motioned us to our seats. "The specials tonight are our seafood pasta with a white wine sauce, and our 300g fillet steak with roasted vegetables."

"Thank you, Sir!" Caspar said.

After some looking at the menu we all ordered some cocktails (Virgin cocktails for Zoe and I) and some steaks and pasta. The chatting was abundant throughout the meal. No awkward silence, just many different conversations throughout the night.

"This is a fancy place." Josh said.

"It is, hey? I feel so underdressed." You said.

"You look gorgeous." Joe said. And kissed your cheek.

"Yeah you do." Caspar whispered with a wink.

"Mate, back off." Josh said, "She's with Joe."

The table went silent until we payed. We walked out and onto the beach front. Zoe and I walking infront. We found a little 24 hour cafe with extremely tumblr desserts. Luckily we didn't have dessert at Salt and so we went in and took a seat with the guys following a bit behind us.

"Well that was awkward." Zoe said as we sat down.

"I know. I don't want to cause problems between them. They're best friends."

"No Kayla, Caspar has been doing this for years. He wants what he can't have, and when he has it, he doesn't look after it. Don't be hard on yourself. You and Joe are meant to be."

The boys sat down with us. I kissed Joe and everybody screamed "wooooo."

"I love you." You said.

"I love you." He said.

Zoe and Josh smiled.
