8 months later

"Can you just sit down?" Amir said as he pushed me by my shoulders, helping me waddle out of the kitchen.

I held the bottom of my stomach and allowed him to push me away. "Sit here." He spoke as he made sure I was sat on the couch.

"You're gonna burn the kitchen down." I spoke as I leaned back, out of breath. I was now in my last week of pregnancy and would be tired after walking down the hall.

"I'm fine." He said. "Just stay there." He ordered as he walked back to the kitchen.

We had newly moved into our own home alhamdulillah and Amir wanted to cook our first meal in our new home himself for the both of us. The past few days we'd been having take away as we were still moving our furniture and stuff. Well, not we, Amir, Waleed and Yaseen. Waleed and Yaseen would come by everyday for the past two weeks and while I'd order them around on where to place things, they would do so. Havva and I had the easy, yet still annoying job of folding all the clothes and placing them away in the cupboards.

Our son's nursery was finished first and I was so happy with how it turned out.

We had found our we were having a boy close to my third month of pregnancy, but we weren't very shocked as both Amir and I had a gut feeling it was a boy. Turned out we were right.

His nursery was plain

His nursery was plain. Nothing over the top or extravagant. I had chosen all neautral colours; white, grey and brown. We had bought a little bassinet to put him into our room for the first couple of months as it would have been hard if he was in another room the whole night. His nursery was small. It had a white cot on one side with frames of plants hanging above it, a single couch with an ottoman on the side for when I breastfed and there was a dresser with 3 drawers along another wall. The room also had an in built cupboard that Havva and I had sorted already as well as a wall next to the window where Amir had hung two shelves with a hanger that we put the jackets, jumpers and some other things that we assumed he'd wear often.
