As salamu alaykum. Hope you're all well. :)
In the media section this time, we have, The Story Of Maryam (ra) The Mother of Jesus.
Yes, it is a long video (if you call 20 mins long lol) but it is so worth it. Watch it all. Maryam (ra) was known for her purity, chastity, religion and her devotion to Allah (swt).
Our prophet, rasulullah alayhissalam says that every child who is born is stabbed by Shaytaan which is why they cry, except for two. Who are those two? The only two who are not stabbed by shaytaan at their birth are Maryam (ra) and Isa (as). Now how can it possibly be a waste of time to listen to the story of this wonderful woman who has such a big role in our religion? A whole surah in the Qur'an was named after her.
Watch the video even if you have already for I guarantee you've probably forgotten half of it and repetition helps memorization. :) alhamdulillah. Comment if you do watch it all the way to the end, and comment your favourite part.
Ps. I know this is titled barbecue but only like three sentences is actually from the barbecue, I just didn't want to ruin the surprise loll :)
Not edited, comment mistakes please!
Enjoy :)

"Hira, can you bring me some more chicken please?" Zahra called to me as I was walking past the barbecue. I nodded with a smile and took a plate off the table, using the tongs to put five chicken wings on her plate.
"Here you go." I said, placing it in front of her.
"JazakAllahu khayr, my love." She said as she dug straight into her plate.
"Tasleem, if you get pregnant, I'm just warning you in advance, I don't have the money to provide you with as much food as Kareem provides Zahra." Saleh said to his wife and we all laughed...except for Zahra who just continued eating.
"Bro, you don't understand how many times she's woken me up to go get her take away because she's craving." He said with a chuckle.
My mum was walking past us, filling up empty cups as she heard what Kareem said. "Trust me, Kareem. Once you're holding your baby girl in your arms in'shaAllah, you're not even going to remember those days." She smiled.
Zahra smiled. "Boy." She corrected. My mum and Zahra had been debating for the whole pregnancy of what the gender would be and they had still not agreed. "But apart from that, you're exactly right, ammati. I keep telling..." She stopped talking and coughed loudly, her face looking like she was in pain as she held her chest.
"Zahra..." Kareem trailed off as everyone was now looking at her in concern. Kareem began hitting her back lightly to soothe the coughing but it wasn't helping, Zahra's face was quickly turning pale.
"Zahra! Mum!" Kareem yelled in panic as he stood up. "Mum, help. What's going on?!" He shouted as he held Zahra's hand tightly.
Everyone panicked and I felt tears gathering in my eyes as ammati ran towards her daughter in law and helped soothe her back and relax her. "Habibti, please. You're scaring me." Kareem said as he looked at his wife's face, holding her cheek in his palm.
