Opening my eyes I let out a gasp at the creature inside the mirror. The Beast was hunched over a single red rose in a glass case with a longing look. Touching the glass he let out a heavy sigh and slumped away.
Touching the glass myself my eyes softened. The story was real, or maybe I was going crazy. Either way every part of me wished to go to him. My heart ached as I continued to watch the scene play out.
He turned his head back to the rose with a sadden desire. I could see he wanted to go back, but he continued to walked forward. His sadness practically radiated off of him. In the end he still was trapped as this beast, who ever this belle was she sure did a number of him.
He was absolute heart broken! Gripping the handle I decided, when I arrive at France I was going to search for him. I have to help him, some how.
Placing the mirrors down I walked over to my closet to grab the cloths I was going to bring. After a good half an hour of packing I fell onto my bed completely exhausted. Covering my eyes with my arm I let out a heavy sigh.
Everything was happening so fast, first Grandma dying , receiving a round trip to France, and finally the whole mirror thing. I didn't want to admit it, but this was real.
All of it.
Lifting the mirror above my head I spoke those words once again. "Show me the Beast." The mirror swirled to show me the beast once again in a darken room. Expect it was different.
He sat in front of a broken stain glass window. Claw marks ripped through the many colors, huffing he roared. Even if sound couldn't project through the mirror I figure that it was heart wrenching.
There were many other stain glass windows, but only this one has claw marks. The rip went through the faces of the people on it. Almost erasing who they were entirely.
Slipping off my bed I decided to have a walk around town to clear my head. Placing the mirror under my pillow I grabbed a single book and headed out.
My family didn't ask where I was going or when I would come back. All they said was be safe. Which I was fine with, at the moment is just needed to be alone. Sitting on the fountain in the middle of town I cracked my book open to chapter three.
It was my favorite part. This is where the princess finds out that her best friend was the prince after all, I smiled remembering the time I first read it. I was at my Grandma's house for the holidays.
The wifi was out so my sisters went to go play in the park and I stayed at the house and read. This story, the one that got me into reading in the first place.
Within my happy moment I head foot steps, looking up I was face to face with Lewis. Just Lewis and I let out a sigh of relief. "I'm glad you aren't with Gabe today." I stated as he chuckled.
"Not really in the mood to deal with him today." Lewis said as he sat beside me. "So how are you? I heard about your Grandmothers, hit you pretty hard no?" I nodded, "Yea it did. I just can't bring myself to think she's really gone."
His arm wrapped around my shoulder, "Everything will be alright." I smiled and giggled. No matter what Lewis did he always made me smile. "So why are you still with Gabe? He is a jerk right?"
He shrugged, "Just like your Grandma used to say love it blind." I laughed, "She did say that a lot right?" He nodded. "Oh also just a fair warning for your Prince Charming might try to stop by to give you a manly shoulder to cry on."
I burst out laughing, "My Prince Charming is no where in this town. I will not be expecting his offer." He smiled, "I told him that as well, but he didn't listen."
There was a moment of silence before I spoke, "I'm going to France." He eyes widened. "Really?" I nodded, "Yea my grandma got me a round ticket. So I'm upholding her wishes and going."
He smiled, "Bring me back Something cool." Standing up I began to walk away Turing I gave a small smile. "It would be a crime if i didn't. "
