After that little episode the servants? No, the workers of the castle? That's not right either. Um the talking furniture? Oh what ever they were lead me up the other side of stairs.
They claimed they were taking me to my room, I couldn't be sure though. With every twist and turn I became even more lost! "And finally here is your room, it's modest but still stylish." Lucas stated.
I gasped at the room before me, modest isn't the word that comes to mind. The room had what i think is pure gold lining the ceiling. The mirrors were seemed to be outlined with the same stuff.
Everywhere i looked at was a stunning array of color and lavish objects. The story wasn't kidding when it said the prince filled his home with the most expensive things.
"So what do you think? To plain?" Lucas asked looking at me. I shook my head, "No, no, this room is perfect. " I whispered feeling the smooth wood under my fingers.
He shrugged giving confused looks to the others. "Well what suits you madam! We will come to collect you for dinner in a little while. In the mean time please begin to get settled in." Nodding i walked around the room.
My dress twirling around me with every step, I was so in my own thoughts i didn't hear the scuffing of something behind me. "Oh a beautiful girl!" I jumped, turning I was face to face with a smiling wardrobe.
"Um hello there." It smiled and scuttled forward, "Finally something to dress, we must make you a beauty ensemble to send you to dinner in!" I grimaced at the eagerness of the wardrobe.
"No that's alright, I can just go in what i'm wearing." She shook her head, "To woo a man, the women must dress to perfection." I raised an eyebrow, "But I do not wish to, woo anyone."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. No matter where a lady is a man is watching, you should be confident in your looks!" Shaking my head I stepped backwards. "I am confident, confident I don't need this!" Turning i bolted to the door.
From the loud sounds the wardrobe was indeed following me. Pushing open the door I followed the winding halls to finally come out to the entrance.
"Ah! Allegra we were just about to retrieve you!" Lucas shouted as I whipped past. "Where are you going?!' It shouted once again, i didn't have to give an answer for the wardrobe shouted my response.
"Madam come back! A new lavish dress awaits!" Running up the stairs i closed my eyes just wishing to escape. Finally i was far enough that her words didn't reach me. Looking around I noticed i had ran up the stairs that previously tried to end my life.
Looking around my eyes swept over the array of color and light. I knew these, walking forward my fingers glazed over the glass. The women was beautiful, she had long blond hair with the most radiant blue eyes.
The name Cordelia on the bottom, looking down the hall I saw many others. Each the same way as hers. A portrait of them in the glass and their name at the bottom.
James, Magda, Conner, Mavis, Flier, Sarah. There was about six others when I ended on the last one and saw a face i knew too well. My eyes widened as I touched the cool glass.
The name Belle Lora was at the bottom, my grandmother's name. Taking in a deep breath the puzzle pieces fell in place, from the ownership of the mirror, to the fully written book.
It all made sense. My grandmother made it to the castle and was the one that broke the Beast's heart in two. The person that i dislike the most was my favorite person in the world.
"What on earth are you doing here!" The voice was loud and low. It belonged to only one person, looking up i saw the Beast. He snared at me pushing me away from the glass.
"How did you even get up here?" He asked in a calmer voice. "The stairs." I answered, he looked at the glass and his eyes softened. "Did you love her?" I blurted out.
My hands covered my mouth hoping he didn't her me, but sadly he did. "Yes. She was the only one to have ever taken my heart." I bit my lip looking back at my Grandmother's window.
"But she didn't love you back, did she?" I asked, suddenly his fist connected with the wall. "No! Hence why i'm still a monster!" I flinched and stepped forward. "I'm sorry, but she still cared for you right?"
He shrugged heading in the other direction. "I guess, if she did it was more to be a friend then a lover. " Reaching my hand out I wished to comfort him but something made me retreated it.
Should i tell him? No, it would just cause him more heart ache. "Why don't we eat something. I heard dinner is being prepared." Looking at me he gave a small smile, "Yea, I would like that."
