Chapter 38

Luna POV

I barrel down the hallway, searching for Irene as I replay what Ayato said, 'Oh Luna....when will you realise how much I love you.'

I furrow my brow and bite my lip,'How can he like me? I mean....I hurt and insult him, so why would he even care about me? Besides the fact that he comes after me.....'

I get so lost in my thoughts that I don't even notice where I'm going until I bump into someone.

I brace myself for the impact with the floor, but it never came instead a deep chuckle fills my ears. I look up and come face to face with a smirking Ruki, his face inches away from mine and his arms wrapped around my waist.

I freak out and shove him away, he stumbles and looses his grip on my waist causing me to land on my butt with a thud.

"The hell man!? Why did you do that?" I growl, shooting him a glare and stand up, dusting myself off.

"Considering you walked into me, your lucky I caught you at all." He replies smugly.

"Hmmph." I respond and look away my mind trailing back to Ayato again.

"Something on your mind?" Ruki asks, leaning back against the wall and crossing his arms.

"Maybe." I reply softly, still not looking at him.

He chuckles," I might be able to help, so why don't you tell me what's on your mind."

I sigh and walk over, sinking to the floor beside him, my back against the wall and long legs stretched out in front of me.

"Ayato.....um...." I start but trail off, unsure of how to phrase it.

Ruki chuckles," I heard about what you did to him~ Well done~"

I laugh and smile at him he returns it.

"Thanks, but that's not what I was referring to."

I take a deep breath before continuing,"I overheard Ayato say that he loves me."

Ruki stiffens and I look over at him questioning, he sinks to the floor and sits beside me.

"What do you think? Do you like him back?" Ruki asks after a minute of silence.

I shrug,"I don't know....maybe."

"You shouldn't." Ruki replies after another minute, his voice stern and angry.

I look at him a little surprised,"Excuse you?"

"He doesn't deserve you, Luna." He responds, his face inches from mine, his expression stubborn and angry.

"Oh, and I suppose you do?" I question challengingly.

"Yes." He growls and grips my chin, pulling my face towards his and smashing our lips together.

My eyes widen and I shove against his chest but Ruki doesn't budge.

He moves to be in front of me, my back against the wall, him leaning forwards towards me, his knee between my legs and his hands pinning mine to the floor at my side's.

I whimper as Ruki shoves his tongue in my mouth, his saliva mixing with mine, almost making me gag.

He pulls away soon to let me breathe and I scream the first name that comes to mind,"AYATO!!!"

Ruki clamps a hand over my mouth and I use my free hand to punch him in the face. He snarls and pins both my hands above my head with one of his own hands, his other hand grips my throat.

"You're going to regret that." He growls and I wince as he tightens his grip on my throat.

"I don't think so." Comes a reply from my right, their voice harsh and dangerous.
