Darkness Embrace

Chapter 15

Irene POV

I had finally made my way to class with a note from the school doctor as well as the the bandaid on my nose. The teacher excused me and I took my seat and finished my work. After 5 minutes of boredom I started passing notes to Jess, telling her what happened and about the deal. 

Not 10 minutes later, two notes fluttered on to our desks. Her note was written in an elegant script that almost made me swoon if I had not know the sender was Reiji.

'Probably confessing his undying love for you~' I wrote to her.

'Go to hell' She wrote back

I snickered quietly before replying with 'I am Hell~'

She smiled and rolled her eyes as I glanced down at the note on my desk. It was a rather untidy scrawl, like the person was in a hurry to just get me the message. It read:

'Meet me on the roof at lunch, bring your sister too.'

I handed the note to Jess after writing 'Who's K.M?' , While she handed me Reiji's note.

Reiji's note: 

'Miss Kairo, I would ask that you and your sister stop passing notes before the teacher catches you. - Sincerely Reiji.

'Look who's passing notes now~' I wrote on the back and handed it back to him. 

He glared at it and crumpled it up.

I snickered softly while Jess shot me a disapproving look and wrote a quick apology to Reiji.

'Sorry for putting you in that position again Jess. You always seem to have to apologize for me...' I wrote to her and looked down sadly at my desk.

'It's alright, besides it gives me something interesting to do, it would be very boring if you were a goody-two-shoes' She wrote back with a smile.

I smiled back at her and put my head on my desk for the remainder of the lesson.

Jessica POV

We ended up getting caught by the teacher and were held back for a lecture at lunch break. Irene grumbled about missing out on her lunch break but I knew she was just worried about keeping the person 'K.M' waiting. 

The teacher let us go with a warning and we thanked him, walking out the classroom towards the roof. 

"So...do you know who this 'K.M' is?" Irene asked, stretching her arms and groaning as they clicked.

"Rice crispies." I chuckled.

She stopped walking and looked at me confused, "Rice crispies?" 

I stopped as well and gestured to her arms and the clicking sound they made,"When you stretched, your arms clicked and they sounded like rice crispies when you add milk to them." (Not sure how many people will understand this, but it's a small joke that goes on in my family when someone clicks their back or something.)

She giggled and continued walking, I followed and replied to her earlier comment. "I don't know who it is but I guess we'll see."

"Hmm...I wonder what they want." She mused as she opens the door to the roof. 

"Same here." I replied and walked out to see Kanato waiting for us.

"Where have you been?" He demands, turning to glare at us.
