Chapter 6: (Christina)
My eyes fluttered open and I was back in Nicolette's green room and I could hear silent sobs in the corner so I knew Nicolette was in the room with me. I turned to look at her and watched her for a minute before saying anything.
"What wrong?" I asked
"Oh you're up" she sniffed "I better get Elliot, I'm supposed to get him when you woke up. You passed out" she explained
"Wait, what's wrong. I heard you crying!" I demanded
"Well at least I know you are back to yourself" she smiled, still wiping away the last tears
"I'll tell Elliot you were crying" I taunted and I could see she was going to spill
"Well its stupid but Elliot is 20 and I'm only 16. I mean what does he see in me?" she started crying again, losing confidence with every drop. I felt terrible, I knew him for days and I know how much he loved her but she didn't? He was going to be hearing about this as soon as I calmed her down enough to take me to him.
"When will you get, that he loves you more than anything else. If you could see how he looks at you when you aren't looking, you would know. I have known him for days Nicolette, but I can tell he loves you."
"Okay." She sniffed, she wiped away a last few tears, but I could tell she still wasn't happy
"You go fix yourself up for the party, and I'm going to go find Eliot to tell him I'm fine." She nodded as I waved her off like she was a child, and I left her room to go find Eliot's.
I finally found his room after a few wrong turns. I knocked and he opened the door for me.
"Feeling better?" he asked and I nodded "I'm sorry, I guess that was a little too much information... I did warn Oliver that I probably wasn't the best teacher"
"It's fine," I reassure him "but that's not what I wanted to talk about" I inform him
He looked surprised "ohh okay, what do you want to talk about?"
"Nicolette" I saw him grin as I said her name despite him self
"What about her?" he asked composing himself
"She doesn't think she's good enough to date you. Twice today, I found her in tears thinking that she wasn't good enough for you and that she drags you down. She doesn't believe me so you have to talk her." He looked awestruck as I turned to go find my way back to Nicolette's room.
This time though, I got totally lost. The house really was huge. I let out a frustrated sigh just as I heard foot steps behind me. I spun around to see Oliver standing there.
He raised his eyebrows "I wouldn't go down that hall way" nodding towards where I was just about to turn. "That's where we keep all our giant pet spiders" I raise my eye brows but he doesn't say anything.
"Fine. I'm lost."
"'I got lost but look what I found' "He recited to me
"Irving Berlin?" I ask "you don't seem like the quote kind of guy"
"I'm not," he responded, motioning for me to follow him as he walked the way he came "Gabe is" That was almost even more surprising
"So I got lost, but what did I find?" I ask, only half kidding
"Well our giant pet spiders for one. And me, didn't you?"
"No, you found me. And you weren't lost and I didn't actually get to see those spiders."
