Chapter 9: Gabe

Chapter 9 (Gabe):

What had I done? Kissing Christina? It was wrong on so many levels, the first being what I had done, second being my best friend liked her. Why had I done it, I don't know what I was thinking.

My buzzing phone was the only thing that pulled me out of my thoughts that where as dark as my soul.

"What the hell did you do to Christina?" I hear Oliver growl into his phone, Ohh crap this wasn't good. Did he know about the kiss? He couldn't?

"What?" I ask innocently, deciding to pretend I had no idea what he was talking about until he told me.

I didn't have to wait long. "She just called me, asking for help, screaming in pain. It hurt to listen to Gabe! Well once she stopped screaming guess who she said to call."

Ohh crap, in the panic of kissing her, I had forgotten why I because of those terrible screams of pain. "I was just coming to get you" I lied swiftly

"You should have stayed with her. Where is she?" I could hear his anger, Oliver was about as Phil as they got, rarely angry so if he was mad I was in trouble.

"Outside my room" I sighed into the phone that must sound a lot different than what really happened.

"What the hell did you do to her? I thought you were my friend!" He screamed into the phone, I could hear his padding footsteps running through the halls, in the back ground of the phone.

"Listen," I commanded as I unwillingly turned back towards my room where I had left her "I was coming back to my room and I saw her wandering around the halls, and she was outside of my room. I was talking to her and all of a sudden she started shuttering, she collapsed and she was screaming. She asked for you and I was coming to find you" that was close enough to the truth.

"At least she was smart enough to call me." He muttered, "And she told me not to tell Nicolette, so I'm guessing that includes Elliot, you agree?"

"Sure" I start to say but am cut off as I get back to my room, and all I can do is stare at the floor outside of my door.

"What is it Gabe? I hear him double, once through my phone and once through real life and I see Oliver at the end of the hall. He is running towards me but I can't say anything. He hasn't looked yet, he was checking his phone, looking at in a face twisted in horror.

"Nicolette is missing" he informs me and looks around, "where is Chris?"

"She is gone" and that is all I can choke out.
