There are a number of people without whom this book would have never been completed.

I want to thank Nadine Seiters, Evin Erdowdu, Sera Marshall, Daniel T. Yıldırım and Debra Forthman (PhD) from editorworld.com for going over versions of the book and helping me organize my story. I also would like to thank Jennifer 'Blix' Deehan, Yagiz Ozyol, Bogac Erkan and Katherine Rickel for reading and providing feedback on my work.

I apologize to the establishments alluded to in the story as they had to be twisted to fit my darker vision. They are my favorite locales to frequent, and have helped me weave an unbelievable story with a semblance of reality.

There is much pain in the pages of this book. I was fortunate to be able to channel all of it here; albeit, the result turned out to be a little more frightening than I'd imagined. What I've written was difficult to write. I can only imagine how your opinion of me will evolve as you read onward.

I also want to thank three writers: Tom Robbins, Nick Cave and Chuck Palahniuk; although, I have never met them. Their writing styles and respective novels, Still Life with Woodpecker, Death of Bunny Munro and Fight Club had an undeniable influence on this novel as much as they had an influence on my life.

I want to thank my friends and companions for being there every step of the way — you know who you are. Musti gets a special shout-out; otherwise, I would never hear the end of it. I want to thank Ahmet Öztan for listening. My brothers Çağlar and Yağmur for putting up with my antics. Above all, my parents for inspiring me to become better. I know it has been an odd journey for you two.

To the aspiring writers on our tiny orb, my message is this: When the chips are down, lend your words to the beautiful and the profane, so that their song may echo in the halls of your spirit.
