I was waiting to get beaten up. I have become a dangerous monster. I killed my own cage mate. And this may be the last time I will ever touch another creature again. I stared down at that mess, trying my best to stay away from the crushed skull bits. I knew I was in trouble.
I felt a cold surface wrap around my right arm and I looked to see a chain now attached to it. I jumped up and flapped my wings, only to be pulled back down. I looked down to see a red-faced ginger growling at me with frustration. I guess the scene that I've made, trying to stop my attacker only to kill her, has just made his job harder.
I got back down and waited patiently as the door to my cage opened. And the only one that went through that door was the ginger with a mop. He hit the bits of skull and made them scatter more around my cage. I kicked every bone shard that I could kick so that he wouldn't get too close to me, in case he wanted to hurt me. He eyed me every once in a while, and I knew that a beating was bound to happen.
His mop was nothing more than a sponge on a stick, soaking up all the blood from the ground and replacing it with water, making it slippery. There was still a little blood in the area I was sitting in, but I knew they would have to move my chain in order to keep me from attacking anyone before they start mopping in my area. They've already learned the hard way that I'm tired of this crap.
Soon, a puff of smoke came into my cage, and I knew that was the time to close my eyes and let them have at me. I knew I couldn't defend myself from a whip, so I had no other choice but to let them have at me. I heard leather rubbing against leather, and before I could open my eyes, I heard the crack of that whip and my side stung. I screamed in agony as the whip kept hitting me in different areas. I opened my wings in an attempt to fly away, but my chain was yanked to where I couldn't fly away. I then felt as the pain overwhelmed my senses and it slowly faded away as everything dimmed. Just before the last of my sight left, I felt the whipping stop.
When I opened my eyes, I felt something hugging me. At first, I thought it was because I was getting carried away to get killed. But logic hit me and I remembered that I was the only Ender Dragon hybrid in the world. I slowly opened my eyes, expecting the hug to be hands keeping me down so I could take more of a beating, but I didn't see anyone in the cage. Only a few caretakers numbly stared into my cage, but they seemed to be looking at something other than me. I then felt the hugging get tighter, and then I realized that I wasn't alone. My heart started to beat faster as I found myself slowly looking down at my waist to see... a little girl?
I looked up at the caretakers, only to watch one of them stomp off. I looked back down at the girl, only to realize there was something wrong. She had black wings, like me. Some of her skin has patches of black across her body. But she looked so young, probably about nine years old. This wasn't right.
I heard someone laugh, "relax Ender. Just because there's a new Ender Dragon hybrid doesn't mean that you will be replaced. Hopefully, we won't have to worry about you killing her, like your last cage mate." I then heard footsteps on iron, making me feel safe.
I squeaked, barely getting past my thirst, "wait!" The foot steps stopped and I looked up to see the owner of the train stopping in front of my cage, "w-what's her name...?" I was still in pain because of what happened.
He chuckled, "we ran out of ideas. We'll let you do something on your own, for once. And we'll see what kind of name you come up with. But we better not see a single drop of blood in here, or we'll have to do it again." I shook as he walked away. I didn't want to call him back, since what good would that do? I couldn't think of anything else that I can do.
I just layed there with my mind whirling with memories. I've heard a lot of names. A majority of the names seemed repetitive. Ordinary. Boring, honestly. I liked the ones that was a twist on the ordinary clichés.
