Lavender started flying around the cage happily. She had to be really excited to have freedom at her fingertips once again. But all I felt was fear. I didn't understand the concept of freedom. Was it a new slavery? More cages? More chains and beatings? That's all I knew. I just sat in the corner of the cage, watching Lavender doing her happy dance. She then realized that I wasn't joining in, so she landed and faced me, "what's wrong?"
I looked to the floor, not knowing what to say, "I... I don't really know what to do... is it the same as here?"
She backed up, "what? No. It's nothing like this. You get to go wherever you please. You won't get beaten all the time, since you won't even be reached up in the sky. There are no walls that keep you in one place like this." She body slammed herself into the side of the cage, as if that was going to help her escape.
I looked up, "then how did you get here?"
She sighed and looked through the bars, "I fell asleep on the ground. I was a little sleepy, so I just passed out. And when I woke up, I was here."
I looked down, "they probably hit you in the head to keep you asleep."
She shook her head, "I would have woken up with a headache, and I didn't."
I looked outside, "well, that's the only thing I can think of." I kept staring at the lavender flower outside. I wish I could understand how the lavender flower feels to be free.
I then felt someone lean against me, "so, do you know how to fly?"
I nodded, "yes. They wanted me to know so when the put me in one of the big cages, I would be able to show off my flying skills. But now that they got rid of the big cages, I only use it to stay away from my enemies." I looked over to her, and she snuggled closer. The rips from the morning's beating burned as I moved, but I ignored them. It wasn't that bad after I have become used to the pain. Only a few times I have broken a bone, and even those don't seem to phase me. I'm really used to pain.
She snuggled, "I would use my flight to get to places quicker. The Ender Dragon can be very impatient when something is needed to be done. She would need me to get into small spaces and dive bomb humans when she needs me to. But even she wouldn't hurt me. Not like these men. They're so... ungrateful!" She seemed to be enraged when she talked about the caretakers.
I nodded, feeling a little anger stream through my veins, "I-I don't know what to say... I've never heard any creatures talk like that..." and I haven't. Most of the time, the first thing they would do is beat up the new ones to show who's boss.
She cocked her head to the side, "really?"
I nodded, "really."

Hey everyone. I know this is a very short chapter, but I wanted to give you some depth into Ender's personality and troubles that will be in the future. And I didn't want to just suddenly cut three weeks out of the picture. I want to put a little something in between the time Herobrine gives them the items and when they get rescued. Also, I may put some suspense and/or comic relief. The picture is made from request by DragonHearted16. She's a great artist, so if you want something that looks pretty, just request something like I have. She can do traditional, or she can do it on her computer. Either way, it looks pretty.
