*10 years later*

*Maxine's POV*
I am 16 getting ready to turn 17 in a few days, my brother Myles is 15, my sister Jordin is 13, my other brother Aiden is 11, and my youngest sister Skylin is 10. We are all homeschooled, Im really into singing, music, my mom taught me everything I need to know, she taught me and my siblings piano, harmonizing, and my aunt Amy taught me and Myles how to play guitar, I write all the time, everybody knows me because of my mom, and I get told all the time that I'm my moms twin, my mom is incredible, I see girls all the time who is arguing with their moms and never get along, its different with me and my mom, my mom is basically my best friend, I'm very close to her but I'm close with my siblings and my dad as well, I love my family, I have so many cousins and aunt and uncles, I wouldn't change any of it for nothing, anyway more about me...I just got my license recently but I still don't have a car, my mom and dad always put the conversation off when I ask them, I am in my room working on my school books and then my phone went off and seen it was a text from a guy name James who i go to church with

J: Hey Max, do you have plans tonight?

I have to admit, he's cute but I just don't know, he's been trying to take me on a date but I haven't answered him because I am scared, and don't know if I'm ready, so I decided to talk to my mom so I got up and walked downstairs and she was helping my sister Sky with her school work
"Hey mom" I said and she looked up
"Hey Max" she said and she spoked up
"You okay?" She asked and I nodded
"Yeah just wanted to talk to you about something" I said and she nodded and closed sky's book
"Why don't you take a break alright?" She said and Sky nodded and got up and ran upstairs
"What is it hun" she asked and I took a breath
"So you knows James from church right?" I asked and she nodded
"Yeah" she said and I spoked
"He's been trying to take me on a date, and I don't know if I should" I admitted and she took a breath
"Are you scared?" She asked and I took a breath
"If you put it that way" I said and she took a breath
"Max, it's your decision, but I highly think that you should, because if you dont, you could miss out on something great, if it doesn't work out, then you're still young, there will be other guys our there, but I don't want you to be scared like I was" she said and I look at her
"What do you mean?" I asked and she spoked up
"I was a closed off teenager, I didn't talk to guys like I should and it kinda backfire, I didn't go on my first date until I was 20 and when I did start dating it gave me terrible anxiety " she admitted and I looked at her and she put her arm around me
"So I want you to be comfortable around guys, I don't want you to go through the same things I did" she said and I nodded
"So you should go, go have fun" she said and I smiled
"Thanks mom" I said and she smiled and kissed my cheek
"My baby growing up" she said as she walked away and I got my phone

M: No I don't actually, what do you have in mind?

J: I was thinking bowling?

M: Sounds good :)

I took a breath..let's see how this goes.
