twenty minutes later, the strange boy and jeongguk were sitting on his bed with their legs crossed, talking.

jeongguk had learned that the boy's name was taehyung and that he had come from a place called 'neverland'. when jeongguk asked the red haired boy where neverland was, he explained that it was the second star to the right.

now, jeongguk was still very skeptical of the boy, but he didn't view him as much of a threat. he was very innocent and playful. he was so much like a child, despite appearing to be around the same age as jeongguk.

"so taehyung," jeongguk began, gaining the attention of the hyperactive boy. "i don't mean to sound rude, but why exactly are you here? like, why are you in my room?"

"well, you're getting older and you'll be a grown up soon," taehyung stated as if that was all the explanation that was necessary.

"so..?"

"so?!" taehyung gasped, standing up on the bed. "growing up is like, the worst thing ever!"

"how come?"

"you have to get a job and get married and have kids— ew! that's no fun at all. you know what's fun? staying young forever. you can go on adventures, play games and just have so much fun!" taehyung flew around the room, speaking enthusiastically.

jeongguk listened closely to taehyung, his eyes shining brightly with curiosity. he slightly jumped in surprise as the boy began soaring along the ceiling.

"wow taehyung," he breathed out in awe. "you're so right.. but... how can i stay young forever?"

"neverland, of course! everyone is young in neverland – except captain hook and his grimy pirate crew," taehyung explained, making a sour face at the mention of the pirates.

"wait, there's pirates in neverland?" jeongguk asked, completely enthralled by what taehyung was telling him.

taehyung nodded with a smile on his face. "yep! there's mermaids too! but like i was saying, one day i'll take you there with me!"

"can you take me now?"

"sorry jeongguk, but i can't." taehyung frowned, floating down from the ceiling and sitting back down across from jungkook on the bed.

"why?" jeongguk's bunny smile faded into a straight line.

"you aren't ready yet, silly! there's so much more about neverland you gotta know before you go! but once you're ready, i'll be here to getcha!" taehyung giggled before climbing off of the bed. "i have to go back now, jeongguk, but i'll be back soon."

"bye taehyung," jeongguk replied as taehyung exited through the window and flew off into the night sky.
