The doctors said that even though Jack was awake he still had the remainder of his three months left to live, and now he only had two months and I was determined to make these last two months the best months of his life no matter what it took. "Jack you know what the doctors said don't you?" I asked him as I sat down on the chair beside his bed "Yeah I now have two months left because I wasn't awake for the first month and that's okay, even though my body is slowly shutting down I am okay with it." He smiled at me and I smiled back at him "So what do you want to do then?" I asked him "I don't know I haven't really thought about any of the things I want to do before I die." He answered back to me "I don't think anyone thinks about it, look I'll go home and get washed and dressed and that'll take about and hour and in that time I want you to think of all the things that you want to do in the two remaining months you have left." "Okay Iris, see you soon." Jack smiled at me, I then passed him my laptop so he could make notes on there and then I left the hospital and drove back to my flat to get washed and dressed.
When I got home I went to go and unlock my front door but it was already unlocked, I wasn't scared or anything because the only people I had given a spare key to were my mum and Cal. So I took off my shoes and walked up stairs into my bedroom and pushed on the door lightly to see Cal standing and smiling by my window seat with a bouquet of daisies and violets. I smiled at him and walked over to him, "What's all this for?" I asked him "Can't I do something nice for my girlfriend and there not have to be a reason behind it all?" He asked me "No you can, sorry I just had to ask that's all." I smiled as I took the flowers and placed them down on my desk and walked back over to Cal and he took hold of my hands and smiled. "What are you doing here anyway? How come you're not at the hospital?" "Because I came back do get showered and changed, I'm going back there soon because I told Jack to make a list of all the things that he would like to do before he dies." I replied to Cal, he let go of my hands and sat down on my bed with his head in his hands I crouched down in front of him and took his hands away from his face and like before I held them in mine.
"What's wrong?" I asked him "How can you talk about your brother dying so casually when you know that it's is going to happen to soon?" Cal asked me "Because I have to stay happy for Jack that's why. Just because I don't show it Cal that doesn't mean that I'm okay with this I feel horrible and sad and angry but I don't show any of those emotions because it would worry Jack and I want him to have the best of his last two months left." I said with a croak in my voice, Cal wiped away his tears, "I'm sorry for all of this." He sniffled "This isn't your fault you didn't give him cancer and I think it's sweet that you care so much. Most people who have seen this happen to Jack who have been in my life have run a mile but not you, you're different, you're special. To me." I smiled as I reached up a little and kissed Cal sweetly and he smiled into the kiss. I let Cal stay in my room while I went to shower and get myself cleaned up, while showering I cried to myself about Jack because that was the only time I could cry without people hearing me or asking if I am okay and I wouldn't have my face stained with the hot fresh tears. After about twenty minutes I walked out in a towel and walked over to my wardrobe to grab some clothes to get changed into to for the day.

When I walked out of the bathroom because I got changed in there, I grabbed my car keys, phone, purse, charger and house keys from places around my house when I got all of my things I saw Cal sitting in my living room watching TV so went to speak to him. "If you're going to go later I'll leave the spare keys on the kitchen counter an can you lock up after you leave?" I asked him "Sure I'll probably stay and wait for you to get back from the hospital." He smiled "Okay well help yourself to any food that I have although there might not be a lot because I haven't been food shopping yet." I smiled back at him, Cal then stood up from the sofa and walked over to me and started to play with the ends of my long dirt blonde hair "Don't worry I'll be fine, just go and see Jack tell him that I said hi and that I'll come and see him soon." Cal said "Okay sure. See you later" I replied, Cal just smiled at me and kissed my head lightly which made me smile slightly just before I left to go and see Jack at the hospital.
