(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I was sat at my desk doing paper work, I'm a detective, and just recently there has been a new murderer in our small town, and by small I mean its not really that small more like a small city. the only information we have on them is they look male, their tall but have a slender figure, he apparently wears a suit like outfit and some victims before they died and called the police described the man to have no eyes, just eye sockets, which is a little strange but I've probably seen weirder.

Lexi, someone who gathers the information for me and also reports, sighed as she opens my office door after knocking and looks at me sadly while she throws a folder onto my desk, looking up from my paper work I take the file into my hands, giving Lexi a knowing stare, she just stares at my face as if waiting for my reaction, I open the file quickly skimming over he name and picture. My heart felt like it stopped, it was my fiance, Edward Gould, I could feel the tears brimming my eyes as I stared at his folder though I held them back. "I'm so sorry (Y/n), I really am, but, err, yeah. I'm sorry for your loss it must feel awful to know that your fiance was just murdered... I really am sorry, just know that I'm always here if you need me or even to talk to me about it." she said feeling sad for me, the girl/boy that just lost the most important person in there life... killed

"This is the 35th kill within the past two weeks. We.Need.To.Catch.HIM!" I growled as I slammed my fist onto the table, making it shake as Lexi jumped startled at the sudden noise. Don't get me wrong, I am sad, but someone was out there going around and killing innocent people for the sake of it. Not to mention that they've just killed my fiance, i could save the sadness for later, right not I was furious at who ever this person was, going around and doing the awful things he was doing. looking at the file as I took it into my shaking hands, i asked sternly "where was he killed? I need to check it out anyway but i just wanna know if it's at our shared house, you know how the chief is when it comes to me." i said tying to calm down from the report, if he was killed at our shared house the chief, my father, would have me go to a hotel or stay at a friends.

"Your shared house, so you're gonna have to hire a hotel room as I've already rang all your friends but they say they don't have any spare rooms because they have kids to look after and the others are on holiday to see there family for Easter. Chief didn't want you in a hotel room but he said he doesn't have any more spare rooms at his house and with your friends he said you have no choice. i would offer but I'm flying over to Canada tomorrow to see my family, sorry." She informed me, I sighed as i got up from my chair and grabbed my coat.

"That's fine, i guess i'll see you after you come back?" I asked her as we made our way to the exit of the offices. Lexi nodded as we said our goodbyes and got into our cars and drove off in opposite directions.

Once my house came into view i could see police tape around the area so i slowed down and parked on the other side of the road, as i stepped out my car i saw a fellow police officer, Matt, he's a officer who helps me around with the cases and is also a close family friend. Walking over to him, he gave me a sad smile as i could see the tear marks on his face, his eyes red puffy, i stepped under the tape as i walked over to him and gave him a hug. no wonder he would be sad, him and Edd where best friends since forever, he hugged me back and started to sob into my uniform as he gripped onto me, holding me as if i would disappear and leave him as well, I've known Edd and Matt since we all became friends in playgroup. I stroked his hair gently as i whispered happy things to him to help him calm down, i tear slid down my cheek as i hugged I'm closer and told him a funny memory when we all went to Disney world for Edds birthday and the two of them almost pissed themselves laughing at what happened to me and got on video.

Once i finished telling the embarrassing but funny story, I heard him chuckle lightly as he pulled away as i wiped his tears away and smiled at him as he smiled back, "Thanks for that (n/n), i needed that." he said in a slightly cracked voice, k smiled at him as i replied.

"its fine, we all need to let it go sometimes, just to let you know ill always be there for you. you're like a brother to me and ill always be there for you. Don't let anyone, even you, tell you differently. no MATTer what happens." i told him, he chucked at the pun and hugged me once more before telling me to go and have a look at what happened but warned me before he did.

walking into our house i walked up the stairs and looked towards Edds animating room, slowly making my way towards the door i stopped just before I opened it, i held in a gasp and look of disgust at what i saw. There he was, or parts of him at least, he was sat in his chair, his limbs torn off and thrown through out the room, his eyes pulled out off their sockets and where in different places within the room, drying blood was still dripped down his face as his eye sockets where filled with blood, his jaw broken and hung has his mouth was sliced open. His throat, chest and stomach ripped open as his guts where laid about the room. the room its self looked awful, the walls looks like it was painted with his insides and limbs as flesh was stuck on the walls, the room was filled with pools of blood.

A young officer walked up to me, "seems to be a male by the name of Edward Gould, a well known animator from YouTuber, he has a-" i cut him off.

"Fiance by the name of (Y/n) (L/n), aka me. i know this man the back of my own hand." the officer gasped s he apologized over and over saying he was sorry for your loss. he slowly backed out the room and ran away. i sighed as i felt tears form into my eyes again.

"It's hard when someone you love is taken away from you. trust me i should know. do i sound familiar? Here's a reminder, the names tom. NIGHT!" And with that i was hit with something hard that made my vision blur as i sway before the grasping hands of sleep dragged me into darkness.
