Bellamy's POV

"Hey, I've been looking for you." Clarke said and my heart skipped a beat at the familiar sound of her soft voice.

"Oh, really?" I said suggestively, knowing it wasn't like that, but wishing it was.

"Yeah, for like 30 minutes." Clarke said, once again completely oblivious to my attempts at flirting.

Time for you passes in seconds and minutes, I thought inside my head, but time for me passes in the subtle glances and innocent touches. I stared into her icy blue eyes, I can't breath until I see you. My heart can't beat until I'm close enough to feel yours. My mind worries a mile a minute until you say something and then it just stops and stares, completely in awe at the beauty of you. So simple and yet anything but ordinary. I am in love with you and every time I see you, I fall in love all over again and it pains me to my very core that you don't know. You don't know the burn I feel for you. You don't know how badly my body aches everywhere and longs for the comfort of your touch as though that's it's only reason for existence. Someday, I tell myself. Someday, Clarke Griffin, you will know I love you.

But today I said, "What did you want?" And glanced fondly at her as she explained something about something or another.

Clarke's POV

When I had finished telling Bellamy about the plans to try and store up water, I realized I accidentally said the same sentence twice. I couldn't help but get a little lost in the beautiful complexity that was his brown eyes. They were dark and alluring at first, but then if you looked really hard, you could find the subtle fleck of golden yellow, a little bit of light in the otherwise darkness. The stark contrast of his eyes somehow worked better then perfectly and successfully enticed me every time I chanced a glance into them. The artist in me wanted to paint them, but I knew I'd never come anywhere near close to replicating the stunningly gorgeous color.

"Clarke?" Bellamy said pulling me from my deep thoughts and causing me to blush. If he knew what I was thinking... Well it would be embarrassing to say the least.

"Yeah?" I asked. Looking over his shoulder pretending to be preoccupied with the wall.

"Umm? About the thing you were talking about..." He said and I could've sworn he didn't know what I was talking about. Almost as if he wasn't listening to me, as if he was distracted by something too.

"Right." I said not 100 percent sure where I had left off at. My stomach growled with great timing and I realized I was hungry. "Well, I can explain it later." I said with a laugh, planning to go get something to eat.

"Want to go get something to eat?" Bellamy asked, he made it sound as though it was more than just the two of us walking together with food as the destination.

"Sure." I said anyway.

We walked awkwardly for a while in silence. I wasn't used to it being awkward with Bellamy. Usually we just kinda, well, fit together. But lately everything seems awkward, like we are being overly polite or extra consciences of everything we do.

"Hey Bellamy, is everything okay with us?" I asked. I missed the close friendship we once had and loathed the distance we'd gained under my oblivious nose.

"Of course it is, Princess." He said with a playful smile and I know he had added the nickname to lighten the mood.

"Good." I said and grabbed a stick of meat. Bellamy did too and followed me as I began to walk outside of the gates and into the forest. I found a nice log that had probably fallen in the last storm and sat down.

"I think I like you." The words slipped out of my mouth before I took a bite of the mystery meat. I don't know what came over me, but it was like I couldn't hold it in a second longer or else I would explode.

"I like you too." Bellamy said as though this was common knowledge.

"No, Bellamy," I paused searching for the right words, "I like you like you. Like sometimes I want to kiss you, then you say something stupid and-"

"I like you like you too." Bellamy said cutting off my nervous rambling. I smiled and took another bite of meat.

We sat in mutual silence, both of us unsure what to do next, long after our sticks were emptied of their meat and the sun flirted with the horizon.

I stared at the sunset in awe of its sheer beauty. When I looked over at Bellamy I saw he was already looking at me. I blushed and smiled a little, he laughed.

"What?" I asked. "Do I have meat in my teeth?"

"No, I was just thinking about how beautiful you really are. You can outshine the most breathtaking sunset any day." He said. What a cheesy romantic.

"Bellamy..." I began, but I would never finish my sentence because at that moment he pushed his lips against mine as though the force of gravity itself had pushed him.

I smiled, I was really glad my stomach had growled.
