Author's note, just a short AU about a Bellarke Christmas, with a lot of fluff.

Clarke's POV

"I'll get the door." I yelled running ahead of Bellamy and to the front door, throwing it open quickly. I ran back to Bellamy and grabbed the front of the tree again, guiding him and the tree through the front door, into our small house.

"Careful." I said as he knocked over a vase that I'm pretty sure my third cousin gave to us at our wedding last year.

"I really can't see anything." Bellamy said through gritted teeth. I could not blame him, this pine tree was fairly large and very heavy.

"Just a bit farther... Alright here." I said and he set the trunk of the tree he was holding down. Together, we attempted to prop up our just a little too tall Christmas tree without completely scraping our ceiling.

"Looks good." Bellamy said laughing. The top of the tree was hanging down, too tall for the ceiling.

"Well maybe we could go back to the forest and get a shorter tree." I suggested. This was our first Christmas together and I wanted it to be perfect.

"I am not going through that again." Bellamy said, sighing dramatically, "Chop the tree down with an axe, haul it back to the car, get it in the back of my pick up, drive down the interstate with people honking at us because the tree is sticking out into the other lane, and then haul it inside our house. No way, it looks fine."

"Okay." I said hesitantly. Bellamy came to stand next to me and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"Maybe I can chop the top of it off?" He asked trying to make it better.

I smiled at my husband, "That sounds perfect." I said.

"All done." Bellamy said about a half hour later, coming into the kitchen and setting the hacked off top of an evergreen tree on our kitchen table.

"Thanks." I said leaning in to kiss him on the cheek. I picked up the top of the tree and threw it in the trash can. Bellamy sat down on the stool by the kitchen table. "Don't get to comfy, now we decorate." I said and he sighed.

"You want me to go and get the heavy boxes of decorations all the way in the garage don't you." Bellamy said dramatically.

"Yes I do." I said with an overly sweet voice.

When Bellamy had finally brought up all the boxes, we began to decorate.

"What first." He asked.

"The tinsel. Always the tinsel." I said very seriously.

"Alright." He said grabbing the tinsel and wrapping it around the tree while I was standing next to the tree, meaning I was wrapped in the tree with the tinsel.

"Bellamy." I said pausing to laugh, "Stop. I'm getting all sticky. Bellamy!"

I forced all the tinsel above my head with my hands, while shimmying my body down, until I finally escaped from the confinement of the tree.

"Real funny." I said while grabbing the ribbon for the tree.

"Yeah I thought so too." Bellamy said still grinning mischievously.

While he was distracted by his own cleverness, I jump him and wrapped the ribbon around him a few times before he struggled and got the ribbon off.

"You know what this means?" Bellamy asked and I was laughing to hard to reply, "This means war." He finished solemnly.

Bellamy picked up a plastic ornament and lightly threw it at my leg.

"It's on." I said throwing a Christmas decoration at him in return.

And so that's how, thirty minutes later, we both ended up on the ground panting from running and dodging ornaments.

"Truce?" I asked, lying my head on Bellamy's stomach.

"Truce." He declared.

"We still have to decorate the tree." I said tiredly.

"We'll do that later." Bellamy said wrapping his arms around my shoulders and closing his eyes.

I had a harder time falling asleep, with all the thoughts of Christmas preparations plaguing my head, but eventually Bellamy's slow and deep rhythmical breathing lulled me to a peaceful sleep.
