Addison led Jurriaan away from the the faerie camp and deeper into the forest.

"You do know where we're going, right?"

"More or lees."

"So, we're lost?"

"No, I know where we are, it's just that the path changes every time."

"The path to where."

"There's a sorceress that lives near here. We're going to her house."

"Oh, I get it." Addison's eyes widened.

"Oh, really?"

"Yea, sorcery is the magic of illusions. That's why the path changes." Addison clapped a few times.

"Wow, you do know something about the big wide world." She said mockingly.

"We had to have basic magic knowledge to qualify as a knight."

"Speaking of knights, do you have anything else to wear other than that armour?" Jurriaan looked down at his shining silver armour.

"I left my packs on Garvin." Addison sighed.

"Great."

"What? You've also only got one change of clothes."

"Yea, but I'm dressed in light material clothes, not a big metal suit. Also, dressing like you belong in the royal court will attract bandits and thieves like moths to a flame."

"I do belong in the royal court."

"That attitude will only get you killed faster." She said, before stopping abruptly.

"Lexi followed us." She said before spinning around and pulling out her sword.

"You can come down now." Some branches snapped above them and Lexi landed in front of them, sitting on a large, brown, horned dragon's back.

"So this is Dexter." Addison said, still holding her sword out.

"Yes, and I would appreciate if you put your sword down."

"Then tell your pixie to stop moving towards Jurriaan." Lexi scowled at Addison for a moment.

"Filly, back off. So, Addison, why did you leave so soon?"

"I didn't really want my companion to become pixie food."

"I would never hurt you're friend."

"I said pixie food. You wouldn't have to hurt him." Lexi didn't answer for a moment.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"What about Garvin?" Jurriaan asked, causing Lexi to glare at him.

"Who the hell is Garvin?"

"My horse."

"That's nice. What would I know of your horse?"

"The pixies in your camp ate him." He accused.

"I know of no such thing."

"Don't lie!" Jurriaan shouted, taking a step forward.

"What makes you think I'm lying?" Jurriaan looked at her for a moment, not sure what to say.

"That bag." Addison whispered.

"What?"

"The bag you have hanging over your shoulder, you idiot." Lexi looked down the the bag.

"Oh, this old thing? I've had this for years." She said casually.

"Fane, could you?" Addison asked, looking at her dragon. Fane jumped off the shoulder and dived at the bag, grabbing it between his teeth. He tried to yank it off Lexi's shoulder, but she was too fast.

"Let go, you stupid little..." She screamed. The bag ripped open, sending the contends spilling out. A few of Jurriaan's shirts landed on branches around them, but Addison had her eyes on one thing. Her father's crown was sailing through the air. She dropped her sword and ran to catch it. It landed neatly in her hands, and she turned around to see both Lexi and Jurriaan staring at her.

"Would someone care to explain this?" She demanded.

"I found it in the bag, just after you arrived. I... I thought you two must have had something to with the elf king's death." Lexi said quietly, looking at her feet.

"Jurriaan?" Addison asked.

"He gave it to me to give to you. He knew he wouldn't make it." Addison sighed and walked over to Jurriaan.

"You could have told me." She whispered, wrapping her arms around him. Tears ran down her cheeks and dropped onto Jurriaan's armour. Dexter suddenly screeched and threw Lexi off his back. Lexi rolled when she hit the ground and jumped up.

"Go! I'll hold them off!" She shouted before running to defend her dragon.

"What's going on?" Jurriaan asked as Addison pulled him away.

"Wraiths." Addison said quietly before grabbing Fane out of the air and tucking him to her chest.

"We need to get to the sorceresses house." She whispered, almost to herself. She held tightly onto Jurriaan's arm as they sped through the forest. Addison suddenly stopped, clearly frustrated.

"She's this way!" Someone shouted in the distance. Addison screamed in frustration, not caring that the wraiths were closing in on them.

"It should be here!" She said. Jurriaan looked at their surroundings, hoping to find somewhere to hide.

"Oi, you there." Jurriaan spun around to see an old lad standing beside a tree.

"Yes, you. Hurry up, they'll be here soon." Jurriaan grabbed Addison's arm and pulled her towards the old lady.

"This way children." She said before taking a few steps forward and reaching out into nothing.

"What are you doing?" Jurriaan whispered sharply, making Addison jump. The old lady wrapped her hands around something unseen and pulled, revealing a doorway. The three of them hurried inside, the the lady shut the door and locked it.

"You two are lucky I was here. If not, you two and that dragon would be dead."

"Thank you ma'am. We are in you dept." Jurriaan said, bowing slightly. Addison rolled her eyes and put Fane on the small couch in the centre of the room.

"Thanks for that Rhonda. Looks like I owe you."

"Rhonda?" Jurriaan said, not sure what was going on.

"Yes, young man. My name is Rhonda."

"So you're the sorceress we were coming to see?"

"Yes, Jurriaan, she is." Addison said before sitting down next to Fane.

"Would you children like something to eat?" Rhonda asked, trying to be nice.

"Yes thank you, that would be wonderful." Addison said gratefully. Rhonda nodded and walked into her kitchen.

"Why did he give it to you?" Addison asked Jurriaan.

"He wanted me to help you find a new king. Someone that could take back the castle."

"So he wanted me to find a husband."
