Taehyung jolted up in a cold sweat, fingers tracing the strange bed beneath him. He feared the visions that recurred so often in his mind, he feared they were real. Would he ever escape? Or would the boys get him before he could make it out alive. The nightmares always left him dazed and shaking, eyes squeezed shut as he thought of anything to rid that image of his own body drowning in the lake. The reality of his situation felt so surreal, like a well written fairytale that he just hoped had a happy ending. What truly left him so terrified of it all, was that he would never see his boyfriend again. It wasn't just a longing thought, but a dreading desire. Only his presence was enough to soothe his aching mind and tired thoughts.

„Are you alright?" Came a gentle whisper from inside the hut. Taehyung's head jolted up at the noise in what should have been a silent night. So caught up in thought he hadn't noticed Kook sitting by the entrance, watching him intently. „You look lost." Though Kook's voice was gentle, his words only angered Taehyung as he chuckled, shook his head and turned away, lip curling between his teeth at the seething rage he felt.

Oh yeah I'm just peachy. And I'm not lost," he snapped curtly. Kook's eyebrow raised at the rise in his voice, but he didn't retaliate this time.

Speaking of peaches, want to come to my orchard with me? We have got some lovely fruits there." Taehyung wanted to scream. Here he was, recovering from a nightmare about all those he'd abandoned, watching his own self die because he even thought about going back. Then this pretentious little boy shows up and acts as if everything is sunshine and rainbows.

„Oh for the love of," he sighed, holding his tongue as he rethought his words. "I can't really argue can I?" Kook chuckled at the response, giving a gentle shake of his head. With not a moment to waste, Kook jumped to his feet, pushing his fringe back so that his bright eyes shone from the moonlight. Taehyung stared for a moment, mesmerised by the boy as he twisted his fingers through his hair and grinned childishly. Then he turned away hastily, giving a stiff nod, wiping at the sweat creating a clammy texture in his palms.

„You will enjoy it. Come on, everything is that much more beautiful during midnight's hour." The greasy haired boy left with no additional words, leaving Taehyung to stare at the place he'd sat so calmly for a minute or so more.

It truly was wondrous, that he couldn't deny. Everything seemed to have a silver glow under the moonlight, bringing a tranquility to the earth in a place where chaos roamed during the day. The forest never seemed to end, Taehyung wondered if it was enchanted, but concluded it was probably just his mind playing tricks on him. He kept his leader in his sight, keeping two metres behind him at all times for it just felt safer. Despite Kook's kindness at times, it was hard to let his guard down at any moment. His fingers trailed to the base of his spine, where his back was still healing after a week of remedies.

„What is your favourite fruit, Tae?" Kook spoke up whilst bringing himself to a stop.

„Cherries," Taehyung responded simply, wandering forward as his gaze got caught on a tree that seemed to physically glow. He was drawn to it, an opal like reflection that made his heart beat so fervently. A rather strong grip tugged at his wrist, pulling him backwards so that he fell into Kook who stood with a frown.

„Do not wander. You will get lost."

„But it's just over -"
