Chapter 8

**Nadya**
I was washing dishing. It's fall and I have been doing great I'm working at this grocery store I know y'all laughing but guess what it pays $16.25 and hour so trust me I ain't complnaing. I have now graduated out of that hell hole you call school  and I am officially clean. I can honestly say I am super proud of myself I have came a long way.  Kadarius let me and the girls move into his beautiful condo Speaking of him Kadarius got arrested five months ago for the murder of a police officer which was not true because that night I was with him they just want him to be out of the picture because of what he do. His court date for his trial will be in two days and I am right by his side yeah that's my man not even going to deny it anymore I've just been holding things down, before he went in he gave a a million and told me to flip it so I did. Police took his house,cars because they said it was bought with drug money. He was pissed because everything he has worked hard for has been taken from him because cops are jealous. D'quan and Marissa are coming over to just talk, I heard the doorbell

Nadine-"I will get it"

I washed my hands and dried them.

Marissa-"Hey best friend"

Nadya-"Hey boo"

We walked in the living room and sat down.

D'quan-"What's popping sis"

Nadya-"Nothing. Now y'all ready to talk"

D'quan-"Yeah"

Nadya-"Girls go in your rooms to play for awhile"

When I knew they were out the room we started to talk. 

D'quan-"Look you need to watch your back. Word is Darrell is back he wants what's his which is..... You"

Darrell is my mother's pimp. She practically sold me to him in order to pay off her Dept  so he thinks I'm his property.  They want war with Kadarius and D'quan crew and that's what's been going on since Kadarius has been locked up. 

Nadya-"Where is he"

D'quan-"Supposedly in the Bronx looking for you. Protect yourself always wherever you are call me if you got problems"

Nadya-"Okay"

Marissa smirked

Marissa-"Kadarius called he wants you to visit him in a hour"

I smiled

Nadya-"Well let me get me coat"

Marissa-"We'll we will watch the girls for you"

I grabbed my coat and put on my shoes.  I told the girls I will be calling and grabbed my wallet and keys, yes I have a car now I drive a red Mercedes-Benz GLC coupe. I walked to the elevator and got down to the lobby. It feels good to be living better and doing better things in life can't.get any better. I got in the car and drove off.
**At prison**
Guards-"The guard will lead you to the room he is in"

We started to walk down this long dark hall. The guard opened this door for me and I seen Kadarius sitting down at the table with handcuffs on his feet but not his hands which was strange. The guard left us alone closing the door

Kadarius-"Hey baby girl"

I smiled he stood up and gave me a big hug it feels good to be in his arms.

Nadya-"Hey bae"

We sat down.

Kadarius-"Good seeing you, D'quan must have gave you my message"

Nadya-"Yeah he did. How you been you taking your meds"

Kadarius-"I don't have a choice. I miss you though"
