Hope sighed as she sat with Brendon, Juli, and Stacie, Juli's mom, at the dinner table. The three others were laughing while she sat in silence. Her thoughts were back with the tour and the glances she saw Mikey give her when he thought she wasn't looking.

He was always looking at her. Sadness. Pain. Lust. It was all there every day when they had a performance. It was like he wanted her back, but she wasn't sure if she wanted him back.

Sure, she still loved him. He's all she had ever known for a boyfriend. Maybe she should just move on from him completely.

"Hope? We've been calling your name for, like, ten minutes now," Juli commented as Hope sighed and swirled the wine around in her glass. She refused to look up at her friend.

"It's Mikey, isn't?" Brendon questioned making Stacie look at the girl with sad eyes. She knew the girl from the moment she was three and it pained her to see her so distraught over a guy. Though, those two had the kind of love that movies and fairy tails were jealous of.

Hope sighed and looked at her second mother and her two best friends. "Yeah, I just. A part of me wants to forget him and move on. The other part wants to forgive him and run into his arms," she told them with the memories of their high school years filling her head.

Stacie was confused. "What do you need to forgive him for? If it is for the way he broke up with you? Then that is easy to forget for that," she commented not fully knowing the situation at hand.

Juli sighed before grabbing her mothers hand. Hope and Brendon shared a nervous glance over her shoulder. "Mom, Mikey cheated on her. Then left." Silence was all that was hear as they watched her process the information. They all had different reactions when she finally spoke. Hope was shocked, Juli just smiled, and Brendon was laughing so bad that tears were falling.

"The son of a bitch, motherfucking cocksucker! No on messes with my second daughter!"

"Ma!"

"I am serious!" Stacie shouted to her daughter before scolding Brendon for laughing too much. "Hope, honey, I know cheating is, unfortunately, unforgivable to many. I am not condoning it, but think about the memories that you have with him. How he made you feel. Picture your future now, do you see yourself with somebody other than him?" she asked the singer softly.

Hope gave her a tearful smile before answering.

"No."

Mikey was in a sort of rut

Mikey was in a sort of rut. He wanted to win Hope back, but she refused to even look his way. He groaned and shoved his face into the pillow he found.

"You'll get her back man."

Mikey snorted at Pete's words. "Yeah, because you are such a role model for love," he remarked making Pete fake gasp dramatically.

"But I am!"

Patrick shoot his head. "Don't listen to her man. Tell us the full story and we'll help," he told him getting his beer ready.

The My Chemical Romance boys didn't pay attention seeing as they knew this. Only when Andy and Pete started to hit their bassist over the head with pillows is when they tuned back it.

"Dick move," Patrick commented back. He's seen photos of Hope, who the fuck would cheat on her? She's hot! He didn't know her back in high school, but he could tell she hadn't changed much.

Mikey shot him a glare. "I know that! But I can't fix it! She won't even look at me!" he shouted running his hand through his hair. He wanted her back badly. He wished he didn't cheat and then leave. He wished he had the balls to be a better man.

Maybe she would be better off without him.

"No. She isn't and I have a plan."

Mikey didn't even know that he had said his thoughts out loud. But either way the boy leaned in to hear Pete's words with the others.

This may just end badly.

this is honestly my favorite chapter. even though i don't know where to go from here.
i kinda wanna write a prequel of their high school days or write this out into a full book. mhmm
