Marcy's POV

It had been almost a week since I had heard Sam playing the violin and I still hadn’t let that hope die down. It had taken a lot of convincing on my part, but I finally got Jake to agree that Sam could come outside while I was training with Raven today, especially since I would already be in my wolf and could catch her easier if she tried to get away, and also since there would be plenty of people around if she did try anything.

I was currently in my small red wolf, squaring off with Raven. We had decided to do it as a little game kinda, like I used to do with Jake and Garret just to see who was the best, obviously back then Jake always won, then Garret and then I usually came in last, although if I were against any other guys our age I totally could’ve whipped them back then. Anyways, I was using this to train with Raven, and usually I would’ve been beating her but I just couldn’t focus today. Jake being out here was a big enough distraction for me, but on top of that I had Sam too and I felt like I needed to keep a constant watch on her.

Sam really hadn’t been a problem since the George incident, but she hadn’t been allowed outside since then either.

I watched Raven closely as the circled each other and she lunged at me but I easily blocked it and nipped at one of her ears as a warning. Not much time later we were squaring off again but I noticed Sam moving to lean against a tree and glanced over at her to make sure she was okay, and not trying to sneak off again. Raven though, took this as a chance to pin me down and win the round.

That’s her third out of five that she’s won.

As Raven gets off me I vaguely notice Sam glaring at her, although she glares at people a lot, so I don’t think about it much. And also she had taken a strong disliking to Raven.

I send Raven a mind link to go take a water break and quickly shift behind a tree not far off then pull on some clothes and return to the group just as Jake hands me a bottle of water, Garret talking to him about who-knows-what nearby.

“Something is wrong. She hadn’t tried to escape yet, Alpha.” Garret says to Jake, closely watching Sam.

Jake let out a tired sigh. “This is not good. Not only that we have a Vincent problem but also a Sam one.”

I snap my head in Jake’s direction and glare at him. “She is not a problem, Jake,” I growl lowly.

“Mar-” he begins.

“No, don’t you ‘Marcy’ me, Jake,” I snap at him before stomping to the pack house, feeling slightly like a three-year-old.

I had just made it up to our room when I realized Jake was following me and I let out an annoyed huff.

“Baby, you know I didn’t mean it like that. Come on, talk to me.” Jake said from the doorway. I glare  at him over my shoulder and see him standing there with his eyebrows tightly knitted together with worry.

“That’s funny, because you blatantly called her a problem.” I said, turning to the window to watch Raven and Garret training together.

“I didn’t mean it like she is a problem, I meant that we have a problem that she hasn’t resurfaced yet.” Jake said as he walked up behind me, putting his hands on my hips and pulling me around to look at him.

I gave him a look, “Do you really expect me to believe that?”

“I do, since it is the truth, Angel.” He purred next to my ear and then started kissing my upper neck and the side of my face until he got to my lips.

“Jake…” I whined and pouted at him before he kissed me. His lips felt hungry against mine in the way they kissed me, but still very loving and I found my arms tangled around his neck pulling him closer to me.

It didn’t take long for the kiss to get pretty heated.
