“You seem to forget about my ability. Once she is in my control, I have no use for you. Tell me, do you prefer dead or alive? I heard that someone else is interested to become a Luna in your pack. I’m not as heartless as you think I am, sweetheart. I’m giving you a choice. Would you rather watch your beloved loving someone else or join your father up in heaven?” Vincent says, turning his attention towards me. For a second, it's almost as if I see the real pain in his eyes. Like he really did feel sorry for me, but it was probably just in my head.

Do I want to die? Now that I'm gone, I'm sure Lexi will try to take Luna position.

"And Jake. She'll try to take Jake." my wolf whimpered in my mind. She was weak now, especially since we had lost almost everyone.

"She can't though. Fate didn't want them together, and Jake doesn't want her." My wolf added, but it didn't make me feel better.

What if Jake does? He's an alpha, and his wolf knows he needs a mate. What if his wolf recognizes Lexi as a better Luna than me? What if Jake does too?

I have to admit- I haven't been a good Luna. I was acting as a better Luna, before I really was. Now I'm just another problem for the pack.

Maybe it would be better for everyone if I was dead.

My wolf whimpered at the thought of us just giving up, letting Lexi and Vincent win. Giving up on Sam, and on myself.

But it seemed more noble to die and give everyone the peace I had been keeping from them, rather than to keep fighting and cause more pain to everyone.

"If Sam is ever your slave, then I want to die. I wouldn't want to live in such a corrupt world." I decided. If I failed, and Sam was to be lost to Vincent, I wouldn't have anyone anymore. I wouldn't have a pack, or a mate, or even a sister.

Hell, Garret probably wouldn't even speak to me now.

If I loose Sam too, I want to join my father.

"Fair enough." Was all Vincent said before he picked me up and started running. I yelped as he threw me over his shoulder, my body still frozen, and he hissed lowly at me, but keeps running.

"Jake would kill him if he saw this." My wolf comments and I think about the situation I was in.

"Maybe not. I mean, lets not talk about him." I think back to her. It seemed weird to think not that long ago I would've sworn Vincent was my mate.

Idiotic, if you ask me.

Not very long later, suddenly both the vampires come to a stiff hault and Vincent drops me to the ground, hard. I whimper and pull my legs up to my chest in pain, quickly realizing I can move now, but from the impact of him forcefully dropping me on the ground, I'm pretty sure I have a broken leg, and possibly a rib too.

From how Vincent and Frank are standing around me, I can't see who is there, other than their feet, and I can't smell them either.

"I knew you'd come." Vincent says, laughing slightly as his body relaxes. Frank relaxes too, but you can tell he's still on guard.

"Leave her alone." the other person speaks, and  I recognize the voice.

I will always recognize my twin's voice.

"Sam!" I whimper. She needs to leave, if she stays here much longer, Vincent could hurt her, trap her even.

"Marcy, I'm fine." She says to my sternly. By now, I've wiggled my way around to where I can see her, and she looks different.

She looks more powerful.

Vincent smirks and approaches Sam, "This was a dumb choice you made, amour." At this he tries to touch Sam's face, but she slaps his hand away and hisses at him.

Frank and Vincent look furious now, "How is she not frozen, Master Retelli?"

"The cloak..." Vincent mumbles under his breath, then turns to Frank and glares at him to be quiet.

"I see you have an advantage, Samantha. But you really don't think you could beat me, do you?" Vincent teases, but Sam ignores him. By now, I can feel my broken bones snapping back into place and slowly healing. Within a few minutes, I'll be able to attack.

Faster than I had believed possible, Sam punches Vincent square in the face, knocking him back slightly. He hadn't been expecting that, it seems. Now Sam was in attack mode, and positioned ready to attack again.

"Marcy, run. Go find Jake." She ordered while Vincent caught his balance and glared at her. I'd never seen someone so mad before.

"I'm not leaving you." I say sternly and, by now I could use my legs again, but my rib still felt cracked at the least and was making things more difficult, walked over next to Sam.

Vincent jumped at me, but Sam blocked him and the hood of her cloak fell back, so I could see her face now.

She looked like she had all that time before, when I first met her, except now she had a scar going down the side of her face.

The healers can fix that. I thought.

But the big difference in this Sam that shocked me, was her eyes weren't red.

She was in control now, not her beast.

"Marcy, go!" She yelled at me, more strenly, and this time I did as she had told me too and I ran, but not for my safety, to get help. For Sam.

Not long after running, I ran into Jake.

Literally, ran straight into him.

"Get h-help." I gasped out, trying to catch my breath, this broken rib was making everything, especially breathing, a lot more difficult.

"Marcy what's wrong?" Jake asked, pulling me close to him, but I quickly pushed him away.

"Call the pack! Sam i-is fighting with V-Vincent!" I gasped out, and started trying to pull Jake off in the dirrection of the fight. I would've mind linked the pack earlier, myself, but I was too weak to, and I still am.

Luckily Jake followed me towards the fight. Once we weren't far away, I could hear lots of hissing and the sound of fighting, making me pick up my pace.
