third pov

"Mitch, open the door! I have been knocking for three hours!" Kirstin was definitely not over-exaggerating about the knocking. She had arrived at Mitch's house at three pm and it was six right now. Nicole was getting out her car with three coffees, since she knew it was going to be a while until Mitch had opened up the door.

"Still nothing?" Nicole walked up to Kirstie, handing her a carmel frappuccino as she took a sip from her drink. Kirstie shook her head and frowned, sighing quietly to herself. Mitch had never gotten this way over a boy. When Travis and Mitch broke up, Kirstie took him out to the club while they had danced the night away. She wasn't sure that he would be willing to do the same thing for Scott.

After ten more minutes of cruel waiting, the front door had opened and what the two girls saw made their heart break. The tip of Mitch's nose was red and his eyes were rimmed in red, but he had a wide, not so bright smile on his face. "Hopefully, y'all brought me coffee too?" The glint in his eyes was supposed to be full of mischief, but it was only sadness.

As the two girls were walking inside, Mitch had tears streaming down his face and his body crumpled to the ground. "How could I be so stupid?" He yelled in anger, the sound echoing in the empty house as he hit the ground with his fist. The two girls embraced the upset boy in their arms.

And it was like that for the rest of the night. Mitch cried and cried, while Nicole and Kirstin stayed by his side. The three of them fell asleep with Frozen playing as background notice. The S necklace was still secure on Mitch's neck, his hand wrapped around the letter. His Starbucks drink got left behind to water down on the table that was full of ice cream containers and water bottles. Kinda like how Scott left Mitch behind to pick up the pieces of his broken heart off the cold ground. It was almost the same, right?

Kevin and Avi were trying to stop Scott from destroying his liver by the copious amounts of alcohol that he was consuming.. It didn't work though.

"Scott, why don't we just go try to apologize to Mitch?" Kevin spoke up as he watched Scott pour vodka in a cup with a dash of Orange Juice. His stomach turned when he saw Scott down it in one drink.

"Mitch doesn't want to see me, Kevin. I screwed everything up. Why would I say that to him?" His hands clenched around his hair as he took a seat between his two best friends. Avi watched him, his green eyes full of concern while he patted Scott's back. He had wondered why the blond had said that in the first place, but he knew Scott would say it eventually. After all, they do say "A drunk mind speaks sober thoughts."

Scott had tears falling from his eyes as he shook his head. He didn't deserve to cry over Mitch. He was the monster. He was the one who broke Mitch's heart, but he didn't mean that whatsoever. Scott liked Mitch so much that, at night, he couldn't help but to dream of the two of them. The dreams ranging from getting married to adopting a child. It wasn't going to happen now.

"Scott.." Avi cleared his throat when the blond had looked over at him. His blue eyes were brighter when the tears were shed from them. The deep-voiced man wrapped his arms around the the tall man, trying to comfort him.

"I am sorry, guys. Do you even want to be my best friends anymore after this?" Scott mumbled into Avi's shoulder, gripping on his plaid flannel which were different shades of green.

Kevin rose an eyebrow at Avi and Avi had shrugged. He didn't know what had urged Scott to say that, but it was his curiousity that took the best of him. He would later wish that he didn't say anything about it though. "What do you mean, Scott? Of course, we would help you with Mitch. We are your best friends."

"Oh yeah, Mitch.. He will hate me forever after this." Scott muttered again before Avi felt a wet patch where his shoulder was. Kevin scooted over on the couch to be near Scott, so he could hear exactly what he was saying. "Why would he hate you forever?"

"I'm moving to New York.. With Alex." Scott rambled before he bursted out into tears. Kevin rubbed his back as he genuinely felt bad for the boy that was an emotional breakdown in front of him. Why would he move with Alex though? They were done a long time ago, so it didn't make sense.

Scott moved his body away from Avi, placing his hands in his lap as he looked forward at nothing. And as if Scott read Kevin's mind, he continued on to talk about what was happening. Once Kevin heard, his own heart broke for both Mitch and Scott. "I didn't tell you guys this before, because I am such a terrible friend.. Alex and I.. we are set to get married next year in May. His mother, Ann, and my parents set up an arranged marriage. N-Neither of us want this, we told them even after we broke up! They just ignored us and kept planning.." Scott let out a bitter laugh. "It wasn't my plan to meet Mitch that day. It wasn't my plan to fall in love with him when he sent me that first message.. It wasn't my plan to think about him every second of the damn day! And, the necklace.. I-I just wanted him to remember me some way. I don't care if he gets rid of it, but at least he will never get rid of the piece of my heart that he has."

Scott stood up and paced around the living room. The thoughts of Mitch were pounding against his head and he couldn't help but to sigh at how beautiful the small man was. He got back on track on his story and it was as if he had never drank in the first place. "I don't want neither of you coming to the wedding. It's just at a court house. I don't even want Alex coming, but he has to, right?" Scott sat back on the couch in between his two best friends, resting his head on Kevin's shoulder. He closed his blue eyes and hummed.

"I tried making Mitch hate me. Do you think it worked?" The question was left in the air as neither of his best friends answered it. Scott's lips turned into a sad smile as he dozed off. Avi and Kevin looked at each other as they shook their heads.
