It had been about three days since Mitch had got the phone call from Scott's mother. Three days since Mitch had came to the conclusion that all of this was his fault. Three days since Mitch actually got the proper amount of sleep, but he wasn't complaining. As long as he could see those baby blues when they came back to the world, he would stay up for however long he needed to.

Kirstie and Nicole finally made to down from LA to come see the blonde-haired boy. They had shed their tears and made sure that if Mitch needed anything to call them, because they were going to stay in Texas until Scott woke up. Mitch gave them a nod and told them that he would. He was lying though. He didn't deserve that type of treatment.

Mitch met Rick and Connie. They were the sweetest people on the planet. The brunette could see where Scott had got his politeness and the blue eyes that he had grown to love. All Mitch had wished was that he didn't have to meet them underneath these circumstances, but you couldn't go back to change the past now. You can only live with the present and make the best out of it.

Rick and Connie checked on the small boy when they had came in to Scott. Sadly, he was in the same position they had left him, Though, the scratch that was on his jaw and the bruises that were near his beautiful eyes had healed. They attempted to let Mitch get some sleep while they were watching over their son. Mitch usually told Scott that he loved him before he tried to sleep.

The one time he forgot, Scott's heart monitor decreased into a flatline and the nurses had to come in to resuscitate him. It scared Mitch.

Mitch vowed that he would never forget to tell Scott that he loved him. Ever again.

It was nighttime and the moon illuminated Scott's face with a certain glow to his pale face. Mitch thought he looked alluring. Even if wires decorated his body and there was a mask to make sure he had the oxygen that he needed, Scott was the most beautiful thing he had ever set his eyes on.

Mitch's fingers were intertwined with Scott's. He had brought the other's hand up to his lips to kiss his knuckles. Mitch wanted to make sure that if he couldn't see Scott being happy where he was, that he would make sure the blonde was happy in his dreams.

The brunette yawned, but he quickly brushed it off. He pulled one of the very uncomfortable hospital chairs next to the bed as he sat criss-cross on it. He also moved Scott's hand to rest on his knee to let him know that he wasn't going anywhere. Mitch had rested his head on the top of his chair, so he could stop holding it up. The beeping that Mitch had gotten accustom to lulled in the background as his eyes were slowly closing. He tried fighting it, not wanting his worst nightmare to happen if he were to fall asleep.

"How did I get so lucky?" The raspy yet clear voice spoke. Mitch thought he was dreaming, so his eyes forced themselves open at the sound of it. Tears brimmed his eyes as he saw the love of his life staring at him with a slight smile on his lips.

Mitch grabbed his own hand and moved it to his mouth, covering it as he tried to muffle his sobs. Scott squeezed Mitch's knee softly before stroking it with his thumb. The brunette's head fell on the bed as he cried in Scott's chest, gripping the hospital gown as hard as he could. "S-Scott, I am so sorry. It's all my fault- The accident- You almost-"

"Look at me right now, Mitch." Mitch weakly looked up at Scott from his chest. His eyes were red-rimmed and there were tear stains on his cheeks. Mitch wished that he had put some concealer on before Scott saw him like this. But Scott only wiped the tears away with his thumb and gave him a little smile. "Baby.. I got behind the wheel on my own accord. I am the one that decided to tell my parents about you. You didn't drive the car that hit me. You didn't help me get here, Mitch. The only thing you did was give me a reason to keep on fighting."

Mitch's heartbeat started to go faster at Scott's words. He shook his head to disagree with what the blonde was saying. How was Mitch the one that helped him survive? All he did was make sure that he didn't miss the moment when Scott woke up. If anything, he was being selfish.. He couldn't have possibly done that for Scott.

"You did, babe. You were the only one I saw in my dreams. I dreamt about actually being able to hold you in my arms, waking up in the morning to see the person I love the most. I dreamt about us spending our life together, wasting money on useless things.. or not so useless things. I dreamt about us getting married in Hawaii on a beach and everyone coming. Kirstie, Avi, Kevin, Nicole.. I dreamt about us starting Pentatonix. Mitch, I even dreamt about us having a child." Scott's hand squeezed the brunette's, bringing it up to leave a kiss on the back of it. "Mitch, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. If I were to die, God, you don't know how bad I would have regretted on missing the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Mitch wiped at his face, not being able to stop the waterworks that came from his eyes once again, mumbling something about how Scott was stupid and how much makeup he was ruining.

Scott just smiled and slowly scooted over in the bed, pulling Mitch up to lay next to him. The raven-haired boy was afraid to touch Scott, so the blonde had wrapped an arm around his waist in which Mitch fell asleep in an instant.

And in that moment, Scott was forever grateful that he fell in love with someone so strong as Mitch Grassi.
