Lexi -
He kissed me. Why did I let him kiss me. That wasn't meant to happen. It was wrong. No it wasn't. Yes it was. But, I liked it so much. No I didn't. Yes I did. His lips were soft and sweet. They made me feel warm inside. My heart tingled when we touched. The rain falling made everything so much more romantic. I felt like a girl in a predictable romance film. The way he stopped me talking by kissing me. The kiss only lasted a few seconds before we let go, but it felt like a lifetime. I feel as if I'm starting to remember Cameron more and more.
Cameron -
I had a week to win Lexi over again. That should be enough time, right?
I walked into school, feeling happy for once. I saw Lexi walking towards me. My heart skips a beat every time I see her. She was about to walk over to me when she got pulled away by Ria. She got pulled into the art block. I gave a big sigh before turning around to my locker and placing books inside.
"Yo, Cam!" Taylor shouted, making me drop my chemistry book. I bent down to pick it up and felt a hard slap on my back.
"Good news, we have a game on Friday," He said, squeezing my shoulder slightly. Lexi was leaving Friday.
"I can't do Friday," I replied bluntly. I placed my chemistry book into my backpack, closing my locker behind me.
"Course you can. You're part of the team now," Taylor said, walking down the hall with me. "We've got a little surprise or you as well," I didn't say anything, only because a million and one thoughts were running around in my head.
"See you there, Cam," Taylor finished, running off to the other team mates. I was about to refuse but it was too late.****
"Lexi!" I shouted from the other side of the hallway. She turned around, looking for the person who called her name.
"Lexi! Over here!" I yelled again, pushing through the large crowd blocking my view. I dodged people getting pushed and shoved, keeping y eyes on her.
"What's wrong?" She asked, looking me up and down.
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you," I smiled. I stepped forward to lean in a kiss Lexi once again, but she stepped back.
"Cameron, we need to talk," She said shuffling her feet. Her voice cracked as she spoke.
"Er, yeah okay. Shall we go some place else?" I asked over the noise of people screaming and shouting. She nodded quietly and followed me to the art block. The art rooms were always so quiet. I opened a door to an empty classroom with paint and crayons all over the desks. I placed my bag on the desk and turned around to find Lexi standing still with her head down. Her shoulders moved every so often. This meant she was crying.
"Lexi? What's wrong?" I asked, moving towards her. She stepped back once again. "If it's about the kiss the other day, then I'm sorry. I just couldn't help myself-" I started but was interrupted.
"Cameron. It's no that," She sniffed. She walked to the closest desk and jumped on it. She sat with her head still bowed.
"Then what is it? Have I done something wrong?" I asked. My heart was beating so fast. I felt like someone was playing the drums inside of me. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears. The room had suddenly gotten hotter. I felt droplets of sweat fall from the side of my forehead.
"You've done nothing wrong," She spoke quietly.
"Then what's wrong!" I snapped. She looked up and sniffed. Her eyes were covered in black liquid. Her nose was red and her eyes were all puffy.
"You want to know what's wrong? I've got 3 days. 3 days till I leave! I can't be falling for someone I hardly know then leave in 3 days! I especially don't want you to fall in love with me now" She cried. More tears fell from her eyes. My breathing was in short puffs. My head was banging. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion.
"Well, the thing is, I've already fallen in love with you," I spoke, bowing my head.
