Veronica snoozes her alarm and sighs, getting up. "Bye bed." She sighs as she crawls her way to the closet.

She chucks on the clothes she picked out and makes her way quietly to the kitchen.

Veronica quietly makes herself some toast and gobbles it up quickly. She scribbles a quick note to her dad.

Going somewhere my name will be appreciated. - Roni.

Veronica pulls Tiger into a hug and walks out the front door. Cool morning air slaps her face as she walks down the street to the bus station.

Veronica's bus pulls up at  4:32 and she gets on. "Kansas." She sighs. "You will have to make a lot of stop overs...." The bus driver says wearingly. "I know." She smiles, handing him the money.

She slumps to the back of the bus and watches the world as it passes her.

"Las Angelis?" The bus driver calls to her. "No thanks, ill just get off last." She sighs. Slowly drifting off to sleep.

"Miss?" Veronica is shaken awake by the bus driver. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I fall asleep?" She asks confused. The bus driver chuckles, his white beard jangling.

"Yes you did, I forgot you were on the bus!"  The bus driver laughs. "My name is Veronica." Veronica smiles, putting her hand out. "Jack." The bus driver smiles, shaking her hand.

"Why do you want to go all the way to Kansas?" Jack asks, sitting in a seat opposite her. "My mum. She left when I was a baby, and I want to find her. Plus everyone here gets my name wrong, changing my identity and perspective,so I am moving to find a new hope." Veronica grins at her Star Wars reference.

"Star wars I presume?" Jack chuckles, clearing his throat. Veronica nods laughing.

"I'll take you to Kansas." Jack smiles. "Really? Why?" Veronica's eyes light up. "I have family there, and you seem nice enough, all you are serving for is family. I did that once." Jack sighs and shakes his head.

"We will set off tomorrow. Come to my house for the day if you want, it is only 7am." Jack stands up. Veronica nods, picks up her stuff and follows him off the bus.

Jack locks the doors to the bus and walks across the sunlit bus park. "I have the week off." Jack smiles as they make their way to Jacks old car.

Veronica slides into the passenger seat and Jack starts the engine. I makes a strange noise but starts anyway. The two people begin their journey.

A/N I don't know if I like this story as much. The chapters get better I promise😂💜💗
