Veronica wakes up to sunlight pouring through the broken curtains. She yawns and slumps over, to be met with Thumpers tounge in her face.

"Thumper!" She laughs, patting him. He rolls over and lays on the floor.

"We're here everyone!" Jack yells from the front of the bus. Veronica smiles and pulls out her hairbrush. She quickly brushes her hair and applies some makeup.

"See ya Roni!" Grayson smiles and hops off the bus. "Thank you so so much Jack! You are an actual life saver." Grayson thanks Jack.

"No problem Mate." Jack shakes his hand before Grayson exits the bus. "Well, um.." Ethan starts. Veronica stands up and hugs him.

"See you round Eee-tee-wee-tee." Veronica laughs. "Damn you Grayson." Ethan mutters. They hug again and quickly part. "Yeah, see you around Roni." Ethan smiles.

"Thanks Jack!" He smiles, hopping off the bus. Veronica slumps in her chair. "You really got to like them aye Roni?" Jack chuckles, walking over to her.

Veronica nods and sighs, hugging Thumper. "Thanks for keeping me company!" She rubs Thumpers belly.

Veronica looks up at Jack. "See you around kiddo." He opens his arms for a hug. Veronica hugs him sadly. "Thank you so, so very much Jack." She smiles.

"Anytime." He winks, causing Veronica to laugh. Veronica hops off the bus, her bag on her back, and waves.

The bus drives off and Veronica wipes a small tear from under her eye. She begins her walk.

"Where am I going?" She asks herself laughing. "Why don't you take a look at this map?" A deep, familiar voice says, causing Veronica to jump.

"Ethan?" Veronica gasps. "Hey Roni." He grins. "You scared me!" Veronica laughs, punching him softly.

Ethan fake groans. "Give me that map." Veronica demands, snatching the map from his hands.

"What happened to the nice Veronica I have grown to like?" Ethan pouts. "She's here somewhere." Veronica winks.

She studies the map and finds her location. "What is the best bakery in Kansas City?" Veronica asks Ethan.

"That would be Kansas Cafe. Why?" Ethan questions. "My mum works there." Veronica answers shyly. Ethan nods his head.

"So, aren't you going to go?" Veronica asks Ethan. "Yep. Grayson is over there, sorting out his shoe." Ethan laughs.

"Okay, see you later then!" Veronica says enthusiastically, walking off. Ethan smiles and walks to his brother.

"Wait!" Ethan cries, catching up to Veronica. "What's up?" She asks him. "Give me your number." Ethan grins.

Veronica obliques and types it into his phone, before waving goodbye. "I'll text you
later." Ethan winks.

Veronica laughs and walks off, beginning her journey.
