[3] Sister Time

Raye Washington

"This is exactly what I needed," I stated before rolling onto my back so that I could get a complete tan. I was lounging on the beach with my older sister Reagan. Reese was supposed to come and meet us as well.

"I know what you mean," Reagan commented. She on the lounge chair beside me. "I miss being so close to the beach. Sometimes I think about moving back to Miami."

"What's stopping you?" I asked.

"Liam. He loves his job with the sports radio station and hopes that it would open the doors for him to get onto the television screen. Plus he would be leaving Corey behind and they're like brothers."

My heart started to beat rapidly at the mention of Corey. I knew he was still in the Orlando area but I didn't know that he and Liam were so close. If Liam was close to him that meant Reagan had to see him as well. "When was the last time you spoke to Corey?" I decided to ask.

Reagan lifted her head to look my way. "I didn't mean to mention him. I'm sorry."

"When was the last time you spoke to him Reagan?" I repeated.

She sighed. "I see Corey a few times a week Raye Raye. He's Liam's best friend."

I guess I should've assumed that. Liam agreed a long time ago to not talk about Corey whenever I was around. "How is he doing?" I found myself asking.

I could tell that I caught Reagan by surprise. "Corey is good. He recently graduated from college and is working with the Orlando Magic. He asks about you all the time."

I try to not think about Corey but every week I get an email from him that brings him back into my thoughts. It was an email set up for my fans but Corey used it to send me love notes. I never read them but I also hadn't deleted any. I had hundreds stored on my laptop unread. No one knew about the emails, not even Sebastian.

"Are you mad that I still see him?" Reagan asked breaking into my thoughts.

I shook my head my side to side. "No. Just because we broke up doesn't mean that you have to break up with him too. Besides that was a long time ago. I've moved on and I'm over Corey. Not everyone marries their first love, we all can't be mommy and daddy." Our parents met as teenagers and were still madly in love.

I put my head back down and closed my eyes. I wasn't able to fall asleep though because my mind was running wild. I found out today that my parents were selling the big house and downsizing. My mom complained that the house was too large for just her and my dad. I haven't lived in the house in years but it still hurt that it wouldn't be ours anymore. We were all raised in that house. I planned to stay with my parents but since the realtors were showing it nonstop I wouldn't have any privacy.

"Where are you staying Reagan?" I decided to ask my sister. She was visiting for the weekend.

"I got a hotel room. You can bunk with me until I leave on Sunday."

That was fine. "Okay but I still need to figure something out long term. I'm staying for a month."

"You can stay with me," my other sister Reese interjected. I didn't even realized she had arrived. I looked to the other side of me and saw her take off her cover up off to reveal a skimpy string bikini. She had gained a little weight but her body was still on point.

"DJ let his "Honey" out of the house like that?" I asked surprised. Damon always had input on what Reese wore. He didn't mind her being half dressed but he wanted to be the only man to see it.
