[21] Giving Back
"This afternoon, Raye Washington in partnership with the Orlando Magic will be providing food to needy families in downtown Orlando," Liam stated into the microphone. The information was being transpired across the radio airwaves for everyone to listen.
"That's right," Raye confirmed. "I will be there with my husband Corey and a few players and dancers from the team. We have plenty of food and supplies to hand out so come prepared with bags."
"And what time is the drive?"
"From 1-5pm. We'll be right in front of the Amway arena. There will also be activities for the kids to participate in to keep them occupied while the parents receive the donations."
"Alright people, you heard it directly from Raye. Don't miss out on this great opportunity." Liam started pushing buttons and music started to play. "I'll be right back and we'll talk more about the future of the NBA and predictions for the season."
Music started playing as Liam took his headphones off. Raye did the same. "I really appreciate you allowing me to come and promote the drive Liam," she exclaimed.
"Are you kidding? My boss is kissing my ass because you're here."
"I would've came sooner. Why didn't you tell me?"
Liam shrugged his shoulders. "I would never use your celebrity to boost my radio career."
She would never consider it using her. "Anything you need just let me and I'll come on the show. You're family so we help one another out no matter what."

Goodbyes were said between them and Raye left to head to the basketball arena where Corey was already at working. She found him on the basketball court shooting around. She stood to the side and watched him make every shot. "Are you sure you're satisfied with being a coach? Because I think you should still play," she stated from the side line.
Corey stopped and looked to where Raye was located. He observed her attire and whistled. "You're looking mighty fine. I love seeing you with my team's jersey on."
Dressed in an Orlando Magic jersey, black skinny jeans and black heels she strutted over to him. "Do you like it? I had a stylist find it for today."
"I love it." When Raye got within reach he dropped the ball and pulled her into his arms and kissed her. Raye wrapped her arms around Corey. They continued to kiss and started swaying. No music was playing in the stadium but it didn't stop them from moving back and forth. "I fell asleep with you in my arms and woke up alone," he whined.
"I had a few meetings." She didn't want to tell Corey that she had to go back to California in a couple of days and she would be gone for a week. She was going to miss him.
Corey started to hum the lyrics to Jason Derulo's It Girl as he and Raye continued to dance on the court. When he got to the chorus he started to sing softly. He wasn't musically gifted but Raye still loved it.
You could be my it girl
Baby you're the shhh-t girl
Lovin' you could be a crime
Crazy how we fit girl
This is it girl
Give me 25 to life
I just wanna rock all night long
And put you in the middle of my spotlight
You could be my it girl
You're my biggest hit girl
They were lost in the moment, oblivious to the staff and players walking in and watching. With Corey softly singing and humming the lyrics he didn't know, they danced.
"You make me so happy Raye. This is the happiest I've been in long time. I love you," Corey said before kissing her again. He knew that Raye wasn't ready to admit that she loved him but he felt it from her actions.

After serving close to 1,000 families at the food drive Raye and Corey were exhausted. It was for a good cause so it was well worth it. Raye always made it her mission to give back to the community. She donated often and volunteered whenever she had time. Initially she was going to run the food drive alone with the help of volunteers but Corey wanted to help and brought along the Orlando organization.
"Thank you for helping out today. It was a huge turn out because so many kids wanted to see the basketball players."
"Not all the kids. A lot of the teenage boys came to see you." Corey bet that those boys would be beating their meat to the free posters Raye gave them.
"And the dancers."
"No just you baby."
Raye grabbed her belongings and they walked towards the exits of the arena. Security was there waiting. She only found it necessary to have security when the crowd was too large to handle. Raye and Corey knew that the press would be outside wanting to ask questions. They weren't allowed in the arena during the food drive but they couldn't stop them from standing outside the doors. After taking a deep breath she nodded to the head of security to let them out. Instantly cameras and microphones were thrown at their faces. Raye expected the questions to still surround her and Corey's quick marriage but the reporters were taking a completely different route.
"There's rumors that Corey is a cheater, is it true?"
"Is your marriage fake?"
"Women are coming out saying that they slept with Corey a couple of weeks before you got married."
"Are you involved with Sebastian Santiago? There video with him sneaking into your limo last night."
The questions took them off guard. Raye and Corey stared at one another as security pulled them towards the awaiting vehicle. Before Raye could say anything her phone started to ring. It was Autumn. Raye answered but put it on speaker phone for Corey to hear.
"Hey Autumn, right now isn't a good time."
"I know that's why I'm calling. I'm heading towards Orlando now. We need to do something to control the situation. Things have went in the wrong direction."
Raye looked at Corey but he was facing the window looking onto the street. "We were just mobbed by reporters. We're heading home now."
"You can't go there. Reporters and paparazzi are waiting there too. Raye women are coming out the wood works speaking about their past relationships with Corey."
"I know about his past. We can just make a statement to the public," she stated.
"There's more Raye," Autumn interrupted. "There's video of you and Sebastian from the charity. It's a mess Raye."
Her heart dropped.
Corey turned away from the window and looked at her. "Is there something you need to tell me?"
