[19] Trust

The following Sunday while Corey was out playing basketball with Liam, Raye was out to lunch with Reagan. They wanted to come but Reagan wouldn't allow it, she needed some private time with her sister. She was grateful that Raye didn't have to work.

"I think Liam is trying to get me pregnant," Reagan stated.

"What made you come to that conclusion?"

Reagan stopped talking and waited for the waiter to place their lunch orders on the table. "I can't find my birth control pills and all of a sudden he's so eager to have sex."

Raye didn't understand the issue. "Just use condoms until you can replace your pills."

"We haven't used condoms in years. We don't even have any."

Then that was an issue. Raye softly tapped the table. "Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"The pitter patter of little feet," she replied with laugher. "I guess Reese is giving me nephew and you can give me a niece."

"I can't have a baby right now. Liam got me last night. I'm contemplating on going to get the morning after pill."

Raye thought that Raegan would be a great mother. She was 23, had a great job and Liam on her side. Money wasn't an issue. The baby would be well taken care of. "I'll support whatever you do but if you're really aren't ready you need to talk to Liam about it. Express your feelings about waiting. I have a feeling that he wants a baby because he's sees how happy Reese and Damon are."

Reagan had come up with that same conclusion. "Yeah but Reese and Damon are married."

Raye snorted. "Liam would marry you in a second. I bet he's already asked you."

"Since I graduated high school."

"See. I don't think you have anything to worry about."

Reagan placed her hand on her flat stomach. The process of becoming a mother could have already started. She and Liam made love multiple times last night without protection. Was she ready? "It's too much to process, let's change the subject. How was the charity banquet? You missed a great game. The magic won."

Corey had already told her. He was so pumped and excited when he got home last night causing Raye to hold her tongue about the kiss. She didn't want to ruin his mood. "It was good. I love giving back to the community. The only downfall is that Sebastian was there."

Reagan dropped her fork. "No!"

"Yes! And he was with Rachel," Raye added. "It was the oddest thing. Why would he be in Orlando and at the same hospital function as me? It was as if someone invited him knowing I would be there."

"Did you talk to him?"

"I did. The conversation got heated between us because he was making stabs at Corey. I left and he followed me and...."

"And what?" Reagan asked quickly. She was engrossed in the story.

"He kissed me and I kissed him back," Raye admitted. She was ashamed of her behavior. She promised to give Corey a complete chance and she allowed Sebastian to kiss her.

Reagan noticed her sister's demeanor. "Don't beat yourself up Raye. You were with Sebastian for two years. Would still probably be with him. It's normal to still have feelings for him."

"I feel like a complete mess. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I don't want to be trapped between two men. Sebastian made the comment that Corey was going to break my heart. I laid in bed all night wondering the same thing. Am I setting myself up for heartache again? Will he cheat again? I don't think I could go through it again." Raye picked her phone up to check the time. It was a little after 1pm. She and Reagan were planning to be done by 2pm to go shopping.

"There no way to determine that Raye. I think Corey is trying is best to make and keep you happy. It's all about trusting him."

"He lost my trust."

"True but he's trying to earn it back. Liam is his best friend and Corey tells him everything and of course Liam tells me. That boy loves you Raye." Reagan reached across the table and held Raye's hand

"I know that."

Just then a couple of fans came and asked for Raye's autograph. She smiled and signed the pieces of papers and napkins that they produced. Reagan waited patiently for them to leave before speaking again. "Tell me this. What exactly is going on between you and Corey? I thought the plan was to fake it and divorce after a couple of months? Y'all are starting to act like a real married couple."

"We're starting over. I'm exploring my feelings for Corey and seeing where it takes us."

"But you don't trust him? There's no way to build a relationship without trust," Reagan informed her sister.

"I know."

"Have you had sex?"

Raye started choking. She grabbed her water and took a sip.

Reagan chuckled. "I didn't mean to startle you. I just assumed that something has happened in that little apartment."

Raye thoughts lingered on last night after Corey came home. He showered and they cuddled on the couch and watched television. He had a way of barely touching her but leaving a lasting effect. She fell asleep on the couch with him but awoke in bed alone. "We're taking things slow."

"Aren't you worried that you had sex in Vegas? You might pop up pregnant."

"I really don't think anything happened. I would know."

"Hmmm okay." Reagan continued to eat.

Raye and Reagan were talking so openly without realizing that someone was sitting at the next table listening. Martin got up and left the restaurant and called his boss.

"This is Heath Croswell."

"Heather its Martin. Following Raye around has finally paid off."

Heather wasn't convinced. Their plan last night was a bust. Inviting Sebastian to the charity banquet was a waste of time. "What useless information do you have now?"

"It's not useless. I hit the jackpot today."

Heather listened as Martin repeated everything he overheard. Heather was giddy with excitement. "Call every media sight. I want them to know about the kiss between Raye and Sebastian. Get more info on Corey's past girlfriends and I want to find the girl he cheated on Raye with."

Martin quickly agreed and disconnected the call.

Heather smiled for the first time today. It was her turn to embarrass Raye.
