" I love you sweetie, Riley are you sure you have everything you need?"
"Yes, mother. Bye I love you too." I say as I walk out the door and close the front door behind me. I get my phone and head phones from my backpack and wait for the school bus. As soon as I plug the headphones in I hear the school bus pull up in front of me. I wait for the doors to open and I step in to a new beginning, a new high school and a new semester. Which only means that I have to catch up on the popularity pyramid and get to the top. So far I'm not doing so well...
I go and walk to the back of the bus were I find an empty seat and turn on my music and on comes "Love Don't Die" by the Fray. I start to relax. All of a sudden I hear the crowd go wild and I look up to see a whole bunch of jocks getting on the bus. "Seems like you get to be in a bus full of the popular guys" my subconscious tells me, and I ignore her knowing that I will get my way to the top by meddling with some of the popular guys.
I change songs to one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs. Suddenly I feel some one staring at me from above me and I look up to see some one looking down on me and by some one I mean one of the really hot jocks with brown hair and blue eyes. "Lord he is hot" my subconscious tells me.
"Can I help you" I ask making an annoyed face while pausing my music.
"Actually, you can. You see I sit here." he points to the place where I am sitting.
"Ok, that's nice to know," I smirk and play my music again.
He sits down next to me and takes one of my headphones out of my ear.
"Hey, I was listening to something!"
"That's nice to know," He says and smirks at me.
"Well, I don't know who the hell you think you are to just get on this damn bus and come to were I am sitting and try to get me to move and then you just take my head phones out of my ears! Like what the fuck!"
"Wooah if any one should be saying who the hell are you is me, so WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"
"Oh, I'm Riley I just moved here." I feel myself turning a little red at the cheeks
"Now it's my turn to ask, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"
"I'm Jake."
" Well it's been nice getting to know you and all but can I have my headphones back?"
"Oh yeah, sure but first I need you to tell me what your listening to."
"Well I would if you would give my headphones back to me I might actually let you listen to it if you want.'
"Alight, here you go."
He hands me back my headphones and I give him one headphone so he can listen to whatever song goes on next in my playlist and I press play.
All of a sudden "Adore You" by Miley Cyrus comes on and I close my eyes totally forgetting about Jake sitting next to me and I start singing to it.

The next song comes on just as we are pulling into a parking lot, and I see this huge building which I assume is the new high school I will be attending starting today.
"Well... see you around Riley," Jake says and I feel him stand up from next to me.
"See ya Jake." I say and stand up too.
