Chloe's POV
"Great the animals just need to be loaded and we are good to go" my dad says once we have everything packed up, today's the day we are leaving. Everyone nods and starts getting the animals in their trailers, I look around hoping Ryan will be here soon. Otherwise we won't be able to say goodbye, I sigh when I don't see him. I walk over and start helping holly getting the puppies in the cages, once they are all in the cages we put them gently in the back of one of the cars.
I seen the ponies getting loaded onto the truck and then that section was closed off so the lions could be loaded behind the ponies, the lions where the last that needed to be loaded. I take my phone out and text Ryan
C- where are you?
I sigh as I stare at my phone impatiently, I was desperate to see him before I left. I wanted to hug him and say goodbye so bad, I know we barely know each other but I'd fell terrible if I didn't get to say goodbye. I stare at my phone
"Come on" I say to myself as I look at my phone, why wasn't he replying. Was he not coming, was he ignoring me? I sigh as I stay looking at my phone, at the message I had sent.
R- right here
He replies, confused I turn around to see if I can see him and he is right behind me. I jump and hit his shoulder, making him laugh
"You scared me" I say before wrapping my arms around his neck, he wraps his arms around my body and hugs me tightly for a moment
"I will really miss you" i hear him say in my ear, I honestly wished I could stay. I wish we could get to know each other better, I feel a connection to Ryan and I can't help it.
"I'll miss you a lot" I whisper before I hear jack yell out to me
"Come on Chlo we're leaving" he yells from over at his car, Mitch, holly and I are all going in his car. I hesitantly pull away from the hug, smiling softly at Ryan.
"I guess I'll see you later" I whisper as I hold his hands
"Yeah, hey make sure you show the audience who's the best in the circus" Ryan says making me smile as I nod
"Yeah I'm the best huh" I joke making him laugh and nod
"See ya later chickadee" he whispers, I feel I'm about to cry honestly. Why is saying goodbye so hard?
"See ya later Ryan" I whisper and hug him tightly one last time, I didn't want to let him go. I wanted to be with him, maybe I should stay? But then if I stay, the acts will all be stuffed. What if Ryan comes with me "Why don't you come with me?" I ask hesitantly, would he even want to? I mean we haven't known each other long, he's going to say no. I just know it, why did it even ask. It's not like he would, I hear every one getting in the cars. I have to go, I look at Ryan waiting to see what he says.
"Chloe come on!" Mitch yells making me look over at him
"Just give me a second!" I yell back to him before looking back at Ryan with hope in my eyes "you can I mean you can help with setting up each act and we can get to know each other better" I tell Ryan, he looked shocked to be honest. He looked as if he didn't know what to say, his mouth opened before it closed again as his eyes stay on me. I sigh knowing I shouldn't of asked, it's to last minute. Plus Ryan and I barely know each other, I smile softly and nod
"It's okay Ryan, it's a big thing and you have no time to think it over. Plus we barely know each other" I whisper as I keep my small fake smile on my face, I turn around and start going towards Mitch's car
"Chloe wait" I hear Ryan's voice say, I stop in my tracks. Taking a deep breath before I turn to face him
