"Hey Ledoux, what're you doing there?" Malfoy asks, walking up behind me and peering over my shoulder at what I'm doing.
I roll my eyes, can't he just leave me alone for ONE day?
"That's none of your business, Dra-...Malfoy."
I catch myself before I manage to say his first name, but I know he heard me nearly say it, as his scowl drops for just one second and he furrows his eyebrows confusedly before returning to his usual scowl.

Draco quickly reaches one arm around me and snatches the journal I've been writing in, jumping backwards with it so I can't  so easily get it back. I spin around and try at it, but he smacks my hand away with one hand, opening the journal with the other.
Crabbe and Goyle snicker like cartoon witches behind the blonde, laughing even more at me when I struggle to keep my composure.
"Give it back Malfoy." I demand, seriously wishing I had my wand with me.
Draco just smirks and looks down on it, clearing his throat dramatically.
"Today Malfoy called me a mudblood-" He stops for a second to smirk up at me, and then continues.
"I didn't know what it meant, but then Hagrid and Mione explained it.."
His mocking voice makes me really angry, I could almost shove him, but Crabbe and Goyle have stepped in front of him like body guards.
"I could have just cried, right there in Hagrid's house- What a crybaby."
He teases, making his little posse laugh, and making my cheeks get redder and hotter with rage.
"I thought...." He pauses, frowning confusedly down at something, and continues in a quieter voice, like he's just reading to himself.
"Draco said it was okay to be halfblood. I wonder why he's changed his opinion, and why he's become so mean. Was our first meeting just him playing a joke? I suppose that would make sense, he complimented me, said my name was pretty, nobody ever did that before..so it would definitely make sense to assume he was playing a joke on me. I do wish Draco really was as nice as he was in the broom shop, we're both second years,  if he would just knock off his apparently newfound pureblood mania, he would be a fantastic addition to Me, Ron, and Hermione's little trio."
He finishes, staying silent for two seconds, then bursting out laughing, his posse laughing along, I feel tears prick at the corners of my eyes.
"I said give it back!"
"This is pathetic! I think I'm gonna keep this. Seems to be "fantastic" reading material." He says through his laughter.

Pathetic? Well now he's done it. Those tears I was feeling about to shed? Yeah, they're shedding. Shedding like an actual waterfall. Malfoy's clique laughs hysterically at my tears, but Malfoy himself, his laughing slows down to almost nothing, and he watches me in surprise.
"Stop crying you sniveling little mudblood!" Crabbe exclaims, suddenly shoving me down onto the floor.
That's it. That is it.

I wipe my tears with my robe's sleeve, and stand up, staring at Malfoy with unbridled rage. "Capoaire, Cofaydoorum!" I exclaim, not even lifting a finger.
Malfoy and his posse are all thrown back ten feet, leaving my journal on the ground in front of me, where Malfoy dropped it. I pick it up and stare him right in his fearful grey eyes.
"Now leave me alone, Malfoy." I growl, my words all coming out icy and venomous, making Crabbe visibly shudder.
I turn and walk away, making sure to hold my head high. Ron and Hermione are never gonna believe what I've just done; I smirk to myself, the look on Malfoy's face was absolutely priceless, I think I'm going to remember it for a very long time.
Wait; did I really use a spell without my wand? A powerful spell too..Yeah, Ron and Hermione are never going to believe this.
