Katie and I are eating lunch at the cafeteria. My eyes are focused on Chad who is sitting at the very far corner. He's eating with his friends. Yes, he already gained friends after three months of staying here at school.
His friends are talking to him but he doesn't show any interest. He's just staring at his food, playing it with a fork. He lift his head and our eyes met. His lips slowly formed a smile. He picks his phone and starts doing something with it. Seconds later, my phone beeped indicating that I have a message.
From: Chad
It seems like you've been staring at me for quite long now.
I glanced at him before typing.
To: Chad
Huh! You wish! I've been staring at your friend next to you. What's his name again? Nate?
I look at him again to see his reaction. The smile he had earlier is now replaced by a frowning face. He glared at Nathan and forced him to sit far from him. Nathan just scratched his head but obliged Chad. Moments later, I received a message from him again.
From: Chad
You should only look at me.
To:Chad
And Why should I?
From:Chad
You're mine
My heart raced so fast with those simple words. I glanced at him again. He is not looking at me anymore, he is once again picking at his food. I think I pissed him off.
To: Chad
I'm yours. All yours...
I look at Chad as soon as I hit the send button. His face brighten up as soon as he read my message.
"Can I talk to my best friend now?" I heard Katie said. I immediately placed my phone on the table when I saw her annoyed look.
"I'm sorry. What were you saying again?"
"Ever since you met that guy, Chad, I barely talk with you anymore. Yes, you're always with me but your eyes are always focused on your phone," she whined. Aw... My best friend is so cute when she's jealous.
"I'm sorry, Katie. I'll make it up to you. You wanted to go to the bonfire, right? Want me to come with you?"
Her face brighten as soon as she heard it. "Really? Will your mom be okay with it?"
"Of course she won't agree with it. She will be out of the country for a week starting next week. That's a great opportunity. Let's ask Charlie to cover up for me again."
"Leave Charlie to me. My charms never fail on him." We both chuckle at her statement.

"This is exciting, Em! This is my first time at the bonfire. I didn't know it's this cool!" Katie held my arm as she jump up and down from excitement.
The annual bonfire that Chris was talking about was held at the woods just few yards away from the university. It's pretty cool actually. A lot of students came, from freshmen to seniors. Sophomores are providing drinks for everyone. Some are in groups and playing guitar. Some are playing different games. This is the time to get to know other students.
"May I have your attention everyone?"
We look up to where the voice came from. A guy is standing at the a huge stone, holding a bottle of beer.
