The Snapchat Mistake That Lead To Ethan Wacker

Chapter 12 The Tour

I start the tour in the house so that I can change into my boots before we go to the barn. We go through the back door which leads to the kitchen. I show him the kitchen and where the bathroom is at and where my grandpa's room is. Then we go into the living room where Adee is at. Adee looks at Ethan when he says hi to her. I don't think she really knew what to think so I said, "It's Ethan from my phone" and she came right up to him and gave him a hug. After that, we go upstairs and Adee goes back to playing and watching Cars. I show him my brothers room where they talk for a minute about the game he was playing. I am not a video game person so I have no idea what they are talking about. Then I show him my mom's room and Adee's room than the bathroom upstairs. Next, we go to the basement and I show him the movie projector space. Finally to complete the house tour we go into my bedroom where Emily and Alex are lying on their beds reading magazines and watching Netflix. Then I just show him the door to the bathroom in the basement. 

We then head back upstairs to go outside. I put on my boots and I give Ethan Jimmy's boots to wear since Jimmy has pretty big feet for his age. He is wearing some athletic shorts so he kinda looks weird but I do that sometimes in the mornings so it doesn't matter. I tell him what the first 2 buildings are, which are the shop and the shed for the combine. We don't go in the buildings because it would be boring. Then we go to the left of the buildings where we keep all our new and old bikes, honda 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers, baseball bats and all the other outdoor toys. Then we pass the building where we keep the wrapper and some wagons. Then we pass through the circle garden and pass my great uncle's garage and another building where there is more stuff. Then we go to the grape vines and then to the gate of the heifer pasture. We then go into the horse barn, even though there are no horses just some more calves, we call it the horse barn. I show him some of the calves and we pet them. He gets scared of some of the bigger ones and we laugh. Then I show him the younger heifers. 

Next, I tell him the process of the milk in the milkhouse. Then we go into the barn and then into the back of the barn where there are more calves. Then we go out the back of the barn by the calves to the big hill in the back of the barn. The hill leads to the haymow and there are lots of hay bales up there. In the beginning of the summer, I climbed up there and put a picture on Instagram which he recognizes. Then we go to one of my favorite places on the farm. The goat and chicken barn. I show him my goats and we stay here and play with them for awhile. Then we go by the chickens and we have a funny time because he gets scared when the chickens crow and jump a little. It is kinda funny. Then we go to the bunny house and hold the bunnies for a while. 

Then we go to my favorite spot on the whole farm. While we are walking out to the field we have to pass through the cow pasture and the cows are out there too. He has convinced himself that they are going to come at us so he stands on the other side of me. At first, he tries to act tough but once they start walking towards us he gets scared. Once we get pass the electric fence he starts to act all tough again and I think that is cute. I then jump on top of the wrapped bales and look down at him. He says, "How am I supposed to get up there?" I laugh and tell him how to get up. He fails twice then on the third try I grab his arm to pull him up. He eventually gets up and we race to the other end of the bales that are wrapped together. I won because he kept tripping and I call myself a professional. I sit down and tell him about this spot and why it is my favorite. I feel like we have only talked for 5 minutes but we ended up talking for 1 hour and my mom ends up calling me telling us to come back home for dinner. 

Tonight my mom made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. Ethan and I sit next to each other and the whole dinner I felt awkward because the whole dinner everyone was staring at me and Ethan. They whole dinner my mom and Ethan's mom talked and then Kristin (my mom) and my grandpa talked about cutting hay and stuff like that. After dinner, we all decided to watch a movie in the movie projector room. We decided to watch Finding Dory. Aubrey, Ethan and I sat one couch and everyone else found a spot on the other couch, on the floor, or on a chair. In the middle of the movie, I had my right hand on my right knee and Ethan slowly put his hand on mine. It scared me at first and I quickly glanced at our hands, then soon enough we were hand in hand. Once the lights turned on at the end of the movie, I let go of Ethan's hand. He looked at me then looked away. 

Ethan and his mom were staying in the movie room on the couch and on an air mattress while Ethan was here. Everyone got a shower and we said good night. Aubrey was sleeping over for tomorrow's party so she was sleeping on the couch in my room. While everyone was asleep as least I thought so, I got a message from Ethan asking if I was still up. It was almost midnight which meant it was almost officially my birthday. I reply and turn my volume down. He says that he justs want to be the first one to say happy birthday to me. Once it turns midnight, I hear him whisper through the wall, happy birthday. I whisper back thank you. I text him good night and that I need sleep for tomorrow or technically today and I fall asleep.
