Chapter 7 Thier Surprise Plan For Me

Luckily, Cody and I just don't talk to each other and when we do it is just small talk and about the farm work, and it seems like we have both forgotten about the confession that had happened a couple days ago. Today was a bright and sunny day and I had a feeling it was gonna be a good day. I get up without complaining in my head for once, and I go eat breakfast which was pancakes which I usually never make in the mornings and I put on my clothes and my boots and got outside for morning chores. 

After I get down with about half of my morning chores, my mom says that she has to go somewhere and won't be back for about 2 hours or so. I don't ask where because I just think it's to go grocery shopping or to go something from Farm & Fleet or something. Once, she leaves I finish my chores and go to the house. I put my hair into 2 french braids because it is hotter than usual today and I don't like when my hair sticks to the back of my neck. Emily has finally got up and Alex has gotten back from picking her friend Sarah up. Emily asked me if I wanted to go to the mall, and I was like why not and I haven't been to the mall in awhile and I could use some new tank tops and shorts. We head out once Emily has done her makeup and got ready, it's only like 25 minutes away. 

We go into Rue 21, Forever 21, Victoria Secret, Pink, and Bath and Body Works. I get 2 shirts and 2 shorts and some candles. Emily also got some clothes and lotion too. We go tot he food court and get some Panda Express. We sit and chat for awhile about all kinds of things, friends, boys, and what is popular. Emily and I usually don't go out together so I really liked this. While we were eating Emily kept checking her phone and when I asked her what she was so interested in, all she said was, she was talking to her friends about plans. So I text Ethan but he doesn't answer right away so I just start to play games on my phone. After we finish eating, Emily insists on going to Walmart to get some candy. So we go there and she takes her time picking out candy. I get a bag of skittles and pretzel M&M's. 

We then head home, and it is almost time to let the cows in. When we pull into the driveway, I see that my mom is home. I get inside and everyone is in the kitchen and they all get weird. They start to act awkward and its starts to get really weird. They tell me that they have a surprise for me but it is behind the house. Then I realize that the blinds are down. They put a blindfold on me because apparently, I can't see what the surprise is. I start to get really scared and nervous, my family never really has these things happen to us so it is kinda weird. 

They lead me to the back door and down the steps and we walk to the left and towards the empty space and they turn me so I think I am facing my house but I am not sure because I am still in the blindfold. I can hear people whispering and giggling, Adee runs up to me and hugs my legs and tries to say surprise but it not perfect and everyone starts to giggle. Then Alex asks me if I am ready, I reply with "I don't know what I am supposed to be ready for so yea I guess." Then they take off my blindfold and my jaw literally drops. I can't believe what I am seeing.
