The people in the event center created a low noise, their voices that were used all at once somehow made Namjoon tenser. It's his sixth event but he's yet to get used to the number of people that comes to see him.
"Jin!"
Namjoon's facial expression fell. Right. He's here because of him, because of Jin.
"Mister Jin!" With the second mention of the name, Namjoon turned to the voice.
"Yes?"
_
After talking to random people here and there, Namjoon started walking to look for Woojin, but his ears perked up when he overheard people talking nearby."To be honest, when I first saw Jin, his face is nowhere what I imagined from a person with that name." The first one says, and another person in their circle nods.
"I certainly did not expect the dimples, he seems quite the intelligent man and I can imagine him publishing the said works, but, I don't think the mono name Jin suits him." They add.
The third one hummed at the first two before he added his own thoughts. "Are you complimenting him, or insulting him? I don't see anything wrong with him choosing a mono name that doesn't suit his 'appearance' I mean, he's an author.."
As the third voice fades off, Namjoon finds himself slowly smiling.
"Ah, Jin! There you are!" Woojin spoke over the crowd, Namjoon would've believed that he had been looking for him if not for the fact that the two of them were tall enough to not get lost. Woojin must've felt that he's uncomfortable.
"Here, have a drink, you've been walking around the whole night so you must be thirsty." Namjoon was offered a glass of refreshment and he gladly took it, the both of them slid outside to the event center's exit door.
"Different air." Namjoon mumbles, leaning against the wall as he looked down at the building's first floor, workers of the building were walking by, with cleaning equipment and such.
Oh, that's right...
He pulled out his phone, going to the messages app immediately.
"Seokjin hyung... did you eat the dinner I made?"
He checked the time after, noting that it's already half past ten and since Woojin said before, Seokjin used to consume more than twice the amount of food he left at home.
"Don't worry about him much, knowing that Jin can't resist your cooking, he might've already finished even the dessert you bought for him," Woojin says in a low voice, as to be cautious if anyone walks by and hears the two of them talking.
Kim Woojin is Seokjin's manager, as well as his old college friend. Since Woojin's first name is Jinseok, he insisted on being called either Matthew or Woojin, to avoid getting confused for Kim Seokjin.
When Woojin got a job at a publishing company he somehow bumped paths with Seokjin, and that's how they started their friendship again.
Namjoon chuckles, but he still felt worried for the elder.
Ah, he feels so restless.
It's been five minutes and Seokjin hasn't answered his text.
"Woojin, can't we go home already? I have a bad feeling about this... I..." He starts, catching the taller male's attention, he quirked an eyebrow to show the shorter that he was listening.
"Alright, let me talk to the press inside, get in the car." He says as he tosses the key towards Namjoon.
"Thank you."
