"I've known you long enough to sense when you lie, my dear Matthew." Seungnyang crossed his legs, knowing the younger well. Matthew rolled his eyes, not even bothering with the pleasantries anymore and just stared at Seungnyang, eyes half shut.
He snorted, not really debating whether he should tell the other about the reason, but then again; "You wouldn't really give a shit whether I explain myself or not would you?" He laughs through his nose. "I haven't even lied yet."
Seungnyang scowled.
Matthew raised his right eyebrow, asking if he should explain himself when Seungnyang nodded he spoke again.
"It was a deal, Seungnyang." He starts, deciding on just telling him so. "It was simple, he helps me, I gave him three months of extra life. Pretty short." He said in a normal tone, laughing inside when the older growled in frustration.
"Matthew, you're shit."
"I know, Seungnyang. So now that you know it is me who messed with the files, you can leave." He waves his hands dismissively, turning his attention back to his papers and ignoring Seungnyang who yelled that he was going to regret this.
Woojin laughed.
However, at this moment, Woojin was groaning inwardly. Honestly, Seungnyang is a pain in the ass, he never lets Woojin live does he?
"Really? But in my opinion, Jin's potential will be put to use better if he were to work under my company." The mentioned raised his voice and the younger was very tempted to smack him upside the head, if there was something about this guy that he forgot, is that he is very nosy, and annoying. He was pretty sure Seungnyang was enjoying being an intrusive ass. It was a good thing he was here when he arrived, he didn't know how Seokjin would handle this guy.
Or worse well, maybe he'll just expose everything to Seokjin.
Woojin could get fired because he punched a senior co-worker, even if Woojin was in a higher position.
"I'm sorry to say this but I am Jin's manager. And I simply cannot allow him to transfer companies due to such a silly reason." He kept his character, breathing a sigh when Namjoon walked into the living room.
After the small exchange of the novelist and the dummy, the un-welcomed guest stood up, extending a hand to Namjoon. "Nice to finally meet you, mister Jin. My name's Yoo Seungnyang." He smiled and Woojin nearly bit back a laugh. He wants to sock Seungnyang's jaw.
Namjoon shook the older's hand, and Woojin was thankful that a man as smart as Namjoon was the person he chose to hire. "I've heard about you and your publishing company. Nice to finally meet you as well." Namjoon sat next to Woojin, calming him down a little.
"What is it that you want to talk about, Mr. Yoo?"
Woojin never failed to subtly keep his eyes on him, especially when Seokjin came back, serving them tea, his eyes narrowed, and when he saw the calculating look on Seungnyang's eyes pointed at Seokjin, his suspicions that Seungnyang wasn't here to talk about business was confirmed.
He taps Namjoon on the small of his back, excusing himself and dragging Seokjin away to the kitchen.
'Damn Seungnyang and his attitude.'
"Yeah, it is me. Since I wanted to see the sole reason you begged to extend your life." Woojin rolled his eyes, hearing the conversation clearly all the way to the kitchen.
He hates his job sometimes.
He then hears Seokjin calling his name, he turns around, asking. "What is it?"
"It's weird, I usually hear you bickering with Namjoon in the living room, why can't I hear him talking to Seungnyang now?" The brown haired male asks, fingers drumming against the kitchen island. Woojin just shrugged, not really in the mood to admit that he was the one at fault, hey, being a not-person has it's perks too.
The coffee maker beeped, and they both stayed silent after Woojin handed the coffee over to Seokjin, the novelist enjoying his coffee and Woojin just listening to the conversation in the living room. However, Seungnyang's mouth is really annoying.
"Too bad Namjoon, I took a liking to your Seokjin."
Honestly, Woojin couldn't care less if Seokjin found his eyebrow creasing weird. Seungnyang needs to leave. He grabbed a tissue and cleaned his lips of traces of coffee before he turned to Seokjin.
"Stay here. I'll just go to the living room. I forgot my phone there."
And he stood up without another word, leaving Seokjin alone in the kitchen, blinking and confused because his phone was there, beside the coffee maker.
He could feel the tension in the air as soon as he walked into the living room. Both males turned to look at him as he casually sat beside Namjoon.
"Spill it now Seungnyang, what the hell do you want?" Woojin stated, expression changing ever so slightly from his earlier one.
The male in question raised both of his hands up, a smug expression replacing his formal aura earlier when Seokjin was in the room.
"Like you haven't heard from the kitchen, dear Matthew," Seungnyang answered, using the name Woojin gave people on the land of the dead, Woojin licked his teeth, not worried.
"Heard what? That you're targeting Seokjin?" Woojin shook his head. "I think you're forgetting who you're interfering with." He adds, leaning back and resting his arms on the couch. He saw Seungnyang subtly gulp but the stupid man won't back off.
He should know better than to defy a higher up.
"Leave." Was all Woojin said, not removing his eyes from the guest, to which the older male chuckles lowly, him leaning forward and looking straight back into Woojin's eyes.
When he made it clear that he didn't want to leave yet, Woojin didn't listen and grabbed Seungnyang by the collar, hauling him out and away from Seokjin.
No one defies him consecutively and gets away with it.
