He heard his stomach growl, and he stopped his pen in the middle of writing a sentence. Seokjin stretched and stood up once he realized that he had been putting off his hunger for two hours, now he remembers that he's hungry.

On the kitchen counter, there was a plate covered in foil and a bowl of sweets next to it, a note on top that says 'hyung, if you get hungry just heat the macaroni, also I left you some snacks to munch on as you think, do your best hyung! I love you!' along with a cute drawing beneath it.

Seokjin smiled, he loves his little brother so much.

"Taehyung?" Seokjin placed the phone between his shoulder and his ear as he shuts down his laptop.

"Oh hyung! Jiminie and I are about to close down." Taehyung had his usual cheery voice, with a mild shuffling of items in the background. "Taetae it's finished." Jimin's voice could be heard and came Taehyung's reply of "alright let's lock up"

While the two were pulling down the gate, Taehyung went on and told Seokjin about an earlier encounter when a group of boys tried to steal some stuff from their store. Taehyung handed the spare key to Jimin and they dropped the call, walking towards Jimin's apartment.

They reached the corner of the street, the first one away from the convenience store when Jimin suddenly stopped. "Wait, Taehyung," he then pulled out his phone. An unknown number had texted him, saying that he was in possession of something that Jimin owns. Once Taehyung heard this, he frowned immediately, not liking the sound of it.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He asked his friend, concerned for his safety. Jimin shook his head. "It could be dangerous, you can just stay here. I'll be back quickly okay?" Taehyung nodded and watched as his friend turned around and walked to the right, where a mini good place was located.

Taehyung, still concerned for his friend, decided to also head back, waiting by the crossroads. He stood there for around five minutes, waiting for Jimin when he received a message from his brother.

fr: 나의 잘생긴 형 (my handsome brother)

Taehyungie~ I'll pick you two up by the crossroads, do you mind? Of course, you wouldn't because you'll see your beloved brother, also since I'll treat both of you an ice cream. So no, there's no room for objection, see you soon! ^0^/

Taehyung chuckled at his hyung, and replied a quick "ok" before pocketing his phone again, he looked up to the sky, admiring the last sight the autumn has to offer before everything will be painted in white by winter. This season was great for him. Although he and his brother had lost home at the start of the season, by the end of it, they were back on their own feet.

He heard crunching of feet from the other side of the street, and he took it as some random passerby when he realized it wasn't Jimin. However, instead of continuing to where they were headed to, the man stopped directly across of Taehyung. This gave an unsettling feeling to the latter, as soon he heard two more footsteps, coming from behind.

He glanced back and saw two more boys, one with bleached hair and the other with plain black hair. The two did the same thing, stopping a few meters away from Taehyung.

It was silent for a few minutes, Taehyung assessing the strangers when a set of light footsteps came from the general direction of the convenience store. There came a man with orange hair, cat-like eyes and hands in his pockets. He, too, stopped at a short distance away from Taehyung.

When the sunlight moved, Taehyung's mind clicked.

It was the guy from earlier.

Seokjin remembers clearly how shaken up Jimin was when the younger had arrived back. He himself was taken aback, but his body can't respond properly as he just held Taehyung's bloodied body against his, he didn't mind the blood that got onto his hand or the cold gush of autumn wind that brushed past his bare arms. With Taehyung's clean, favourite, jacket on the ground thrown next to them, he just clutched his own fists as he waited for help to come.

The help was too late.

Taehyung had already said his last words to his hyung, as grateful he is that he had the chance to, Seokjin didn't like it that it happened too soon.

The younger had told him about his journal, where to find it and to just hope that it will at least remove some of Seokjin's loneliness that will come. The older did not want to listen, he believed that Taehyung could still fight, being the stubborn kid he had grown with and loved so much, even after he saw with his own eyes how Taehyung fell when he got shot, but as soon as Taehyung uttered the words "I'm sorry I was a burden." and his hand slowly losing its grip on his brother's, Seokjin knew what he believed in was wrong.

Taehyung reached his limit.

And all Seokjin could do was let silent tears fall as Jimin clung onto his back, sobbing violently.

He had to be strong, for Taehyung's unfulfilled dreams.
