I held Party's weakened body close to me, wrapping his arm over my shoulders as I led him out of the bedroom.
He turned to me, keeping his bright hazel eyes on my face.
I sighed as I turned to him, searching his eyes.
I wished I knew what he was feeling. I wished I could sneak into his thoughts whenever he looked at me like that.
I turned away, feeling tears threaten to brim my eyes, a lump forming in my throat.
We entered the front room. Everybody was sat at the only table, all lost in their own thoughts.
Suddenly Jet looked up.
"Party! So glad to see your okay."
Everybody elses eyes shot up towards us, relief crossing their features.
They followed Jet towards us, eyeing Party.
I looked over towards Silver, who stood beside Kobra. His eyes were worried, guilt scribbled all over.
I sighed sadly, walking over to the table.
"I think we all need something to eat." Jet inquired.
I frowned, glancing down towards my torso.
I don't think I should even be living with the amount of days I've been without eating.
Through my black tank top, I could see my ribs sticking through.
This tank used to fit me perfectly, and now it hung loosely, even my hips narrowed slightly.
I wrapped my arms around myself, frowning again.
Jet walked off, scavenging for whatever was available.
Everyone led Party to the table, Kobra on one side, Silver next to him, then Nightmare on the other, Ghoul sitting next to her.
I sifted my hands through my long brown hair.
It had now reached my lower waist, slightly waved from the days I've gone without a brush.
It seemed odd to me to see it such a dreary color. It contrasted oddly with my green eyes, not exactly in my favor.
I sighed, resting my face in my hands.
"You okay?"
I looked up at Silver, then realized that Party had his eyes on me.
I nodded, looking away.
Jet came back into the room.
"Theres only 4 cans of PowerPup, so we'll have to share." He said, setting them down.
He dropped some spoons next to them, letting everyone take what they needed.
Nightmare decided to share hers with me, Party getting his own, Jet and Ghoul and Kobra and Silver sharing a can.
Nightmare popped hers open, the putrid smell rising into the air.
I turned away, grimacing.
PowerPup was the one thing I would never miss from here. But I knew it was our only hope.
She shoved it towards me, handing me the spoon.
I sighed as I scooped out a bite-full, scooping it into my mouth.
I grimaced again as the dog food left a horrible flavor on my tongue.
I quickly swallowed it, shaking my head as I pushed it away. I've had enough for one day.
She furrowed her eyebrows at me, but continued to eat the horrible substance.
Her abdomen was shrinking as well. It couldn't have been less then 3-4 days since she's eaten.
I sighed, pushing my urge to hurl the substance back up.
Everyone finished up, wearing the same disgusted features.
I looked up, to see Party staring at me... but not. He was staring through me.
I sighed again, trying for his eyes to meet mine.
Silver suddenly broke my concentration.
"What are you thinkin' about Party?"
Everybody looked up from their thoughts.
"The Diner." He simply answered.
