I didn't think that falling in love could be so easy. In fact, I didn't think it was supposed to be this easy. But the minute I came in contact with the bed in my new room....bam! Instant love.

At present I am laying on the spacious California king, relishing in its softness. From the bed, I take time to admire the room I was given.

The walls are made to seem like stacked logs, and the furnishing is all white. There is large wall size window opposite the bed. And I am also gifted with the most amazing view of a small pond surrounded by vibrant green grass, with beautifully colored flowers scattered throughout. Not to far from the pond is the Forrest, with the trees towering over, silently beckoning me with their beauty.

To the left of me is a small, white nightstand with a small lamp pushed to the corner. Also to the left of me is a door that leads to the bathroom--which I have yet to check. And lastly to the right of me is a huge white wardrobe with about four drawers underneath it.

That reminds me, I should probably get to packing... Ugh!

With much reluctance, I slide off the bed and head to the boxes I brought with me that we're situated next to the wardrobe. I really don't want to unpack. I sigh and reach for the first box of three.

And I know what you're thinking: Really, Amelia? It's only three boxes. But it's three boxes that are full of stuff that need to be put away.

That shit is time consuming.

With a grunt, I open the first box and get started.

It took an hour and a half to finish all the clothes and what not, now I'm starving. It's then I realize that I haven't eaten since the morning, And it's already almost 9 pm. Should I go look for food?... Maybe I should ask Kaiden....

I walk over to the door and I poke my head out. Kaiden? Kaiden, where is the kitchen?

No response.

Kaiden, I'm really hungry so I'm gonna go find the kitchen, okay? Still nothing. With a shrug, I gingerly make my way out to the hall. I walk down the way I came with Kaiden, in hopes of finding the beginning of the house. And luckily, I do.

"Kaiden?" I call out.

A voice from behind startles me. "Kaiden isn't here. There was an emergency in town so he left for a bit."

I shriek. Turning, I'm faced with a model. Or, at least she should be. She is easily taller than my 5'7" height, standing at least 5'10". Her dark brown hair falling in waves well past her shoulders. What the hell does she use in her hair!? She has got familiar Amber eyes, and it then I know who she is. "Marina, right?"

"The one and only." She looks taken aback at the fact that I know her name, but smiles anyway and sticks out a hand for me to shake. I take it with caution. If Eben was a creep....I can only hope Marina isn't the same.

"I'm gonna guess you were looking for the kitchen." she stated, smiling warmly at me. Maybe, she's not so bad.

I nod, following her through the complex maze that is Kaiden Maddox's house. "I was trying to ask Kaiden where the kitchen was with my mind...wait that sounded crazy-- Um, it's cuz... I me-mean he somet-times...Okay I'm not crazy. It's just-"

"You were trying to mind-link him." She threw a smirk over her shoulder.

"What?"

She paused in front of one of those swinging doors and smiled. "You were trying to mind-link him. That's what we call speaking with our minds. It's a natural thing for us were's, but you aren't a were," She sniffed in my direction, "I can tell that much." She stares for a bit, then her eyes grow wide. "Holy shit... You are his mate!"
