"Amelia Thatcher, repeat after me; As Luna of this pack, I promise to uphold the traditions, judge fairly, stand and govern along side my Alpha with a true and just heart. I promise to the moon goddess, and the Silver Woods pack that I will also lead along side my alpha with integrity, candor, and selflessness." Marina looks up at me after reading the verse and shoots me a small encouraging smile.

My eyes quickly catch the eyes of Kaiden, then they shift among the crowd catching the gaze of Simon and Tate. As well as Declan and Reggie not to far away.

Just like Marina, they all give me some small form of encouragement. So, clearing my throat, I begin, "As Luna of this pack, I promise..." I nearly shit my pants. I already forgot the verse. Kaiden catches this, and he helps me along.

It's okay, sweet pea. I promise to uphold the tradition...

"....I promise to uphold the traditions, judge fairly, stand and govern along side my Alpha with a true and just heart." I pause, taking in a shaky breath. I look to Marina who looks super thrilled. And stealing a glance at Kaiden, I see that he is wearing a heart-stopping mega watt smile.

Good, really good sweet pea. You need help with the rest?

I grab his hand and shake my head no. "I promise to the moon goddess, and the Silver Woods pack that I will also lead along side my alpha with integrity, candor, and selflessness."

Kaiden brought me closer to the pack. "Amelia, do you accept the pack and duties of a Luna?"

I look at the outstanding amount of people in front of me, then to Kaiden. He looks so proud and happy as he stands here beside me, that I can't help the smile that forms as I look back at the pack and give my answer, "Yes, yes I accept the pack and duties of a Luna."

Kaiden's smile was blinding, I could feel the joy, pride, and happiness radiating off of him in thick waves. "Silver woods, your Luna!" Kaiden pushes me gently forward, still clutching my hand. I am met with the welcoming cheers and calls of glee. I feel an arm snake around my waist and my body shivers and hums in delight. "Everyone, please, return to the town square for the food, drinks, and music. Tonight is one for celebration."

With that, everyone including Kaiden and I make our way out of the moonlit clearing to the town square. Just as we reach the treeline, Kaiden pulls me to a stop. Letting everyone else walk ahead of us.

I send him a questioning glance, "Um...Kaiden? I'm kinda hungry."
He just stares at me.

Not knowing what to do, I stare at him, then look to the treeline. I tug on his hand, but he stays rooted in place. "Kaiden, let's go. Everyone is waiting. Marina told me that they won't serve until we get there."

He reaches to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "I know this has all been hard for you, and this all seems rushed, but thank you. You came here forced, and for that I will always hate myself, but you have shown to have the makings of a true Luna. I am so lucky to have you." He reclines against a tree, his golden amber eyes bright in the night as he looks at me. "It's only been a little over three weeks, and I know it's early, but... But just know that.... I care so deeply for you, and I will do all I can to make you safe and happy here with me."

I stand and stare stupidly at the Adonis before me.

Not knowing what else to do, I reach and pull him into my embrace. My arms encircling his neck, hands weaving themselves into his soft curly locks.

He responds by wrapping his arms on my waist, bringing me in closer. I am amazed with how well we fit together. His body molding with mine as if it were made to fit in this way. Like pieces of a puzzle. He nuzzles the crook of my neck, breathing in. This close contact has my body feeling alive. I close my eyes to savor the moment.
