We talked about everything we could think off, and when we started to run out of topics, it was already ten o'clock. All the food was gone and it was starting to get cold. Levi was sitting next to me and even though he was the oldest, I had wrapped my arms around the short man.
"I believe I now know everything about you, but what about your family?" I asked. "What are they like?"
"I don't have one," Levi said. "My parents died when I was very young. I lived with a couple of foster families, but I hated them all. So when I turned eighteen, I left."
"Do you miss them? Your parents?"
"I barely knew them, but yes. I do."
I was silent. I wanted to say sorry, but what for? There was nothing to say sorry for.
"And you?" Levi asked.
"I live with my parents and my adoptive sister. My mom doesn't work, she has always taken care of her children. My dad is a doctor. He's gone quite a lot, but when he's home it's always a good time. And Mikasa, she's something else. She's slightly overprotective and has some anger issues, but I love her."
Levi stayed quiet.
"She might hate you if I bring you home. Only if she knows that you are okay, she'll be nice."
"Bring me home?" Levi looked at me.
"Well, yeah, if we know each other a little better we might- y'know."
Levi grinned at me. "We might what?"
"Become a couple. Start dating," I blushed and looked away.
"You're very cute, brat. Maybe if we know each other a little better."
I looked at him with a smile. "Levi?"
"Yes?"
"Can I kiss you?"
"I dunno," Levi chuckles. "Can you?"
"You're ruining it."
Levi laughed, then he leaned forward. "Yes."
I leaned in and kissed his soft lips. We wrapped our arms around each other and the kiss got more forceful. Levi opened his mouth before I could even ask for permission and I explored all the corners of his mouth. I didn't feel the cold anymore, I didn't care that there could be people passing by. All I cared about was Levi.
After a couple of minutes we let go, both panting like idiots.
"It's getting late," Levi whispered. "I'm guessing you've got school tomorrow."
I nodded. "Sadly enough, yes."
Levi laughed. "Ah, how much I don't miss high school."
"Yes, but you have to work."
"Says who?"
"Well, unless you are like a millionaire or something."
Levi raised his eyebrows.
"You are not a millionaire," I said.
He couldn't be, right?
"What makes you think I am not?"
"Are you or are you not a millionaire?" I asked.
"I am. My parents left me quite a fortune. When I turned eighteen, I got all their money. So now I don't have to work."
I stared at him in shock. "Then why did you come to the bookshop to read all those books? You could've bought every single book we have."
Levi chuckled. "I know, and the first time I got there I was actually planning on doing so, but then I saw this beautiful green eyed boy and just wanted to be around him a little more. So I sat down and after a while, I didn't want to leave. The bookshop is a nice place, it feels my like home than my own house ever has. And, I like it when people don't know I'm rich. People tend to like what you have more than who you are."
"Then why did you tell me?"
"Because you would never do that, Eren." He smiled at me and I felt my heart melt. "You talked to me because I was me."
"And because you are handsome," I mumbled.
"Yes, I know that. But that's not the point. You're ruining the point, Eren."
We stared at each other, and then we suddenly burst into laughter.
