I woke up at 5am in a puddle of water and I screamed
This is it
"WHAT HAPPENED?" Luke jumped up screaming
"MY WATER BROKE" I said gasping for air
"OH MY GOD, LETS GET TO THE HOSPITAL" He said and picked me up in his arms and ran out grabbing our prepared hospital bags and driving me to the hospital
I Completely zoned out, before I could hear traffic and the engine of Luke's car.Right now I'm 7 months and 5 weeks Pregnant.They're so early.
Before I knew it we were at the hospital and I was in a wheel chair breathing hard and getting this awful pain every now and then.The doctor said they're Contractions but I thought they'd be less painful.My girls are coming though, the doctor said i'm dilated enough to give birth, so they gave me some pain medication and I pushed.
"Breathe baby!" Luke said as he was at my side holding my hand and running his fingers through my hair
I screamed and pushed as hard as I could.
"Push again Nova!! I know it hurts but do it for your girls!" The doctor said
"I can't" I started to cry and breathe hard
"Yes you can!! You're almost there!"She said
So I Pushed harder and screamed louder.
Eventually I felt something
"There's One!" I hear the doctor say
I looked at the doctor, Everything was blurry.
"Get mom some blood! She's loosing a lot here people!!" She yelled at the nurses
The doctor handed a nurse the first baby girl and they wiped her down.
"I'm going to need you to push again Ms.Taylor" She said
I took a deep breath and pushed again and again, I felt like my vagina was ripped from my belly button to my asshole.
"There she is!" The doctor yelled pulling another baby out
"Breathe baby girl, you did it" Luke said laughing a little and smiling as he kissed my forehead
Everything was blurry, I was dizzy and I was hearing things weirdly.
I passed out.
Next thing I knew I woke up in a new bed and room, Luke sleeping on the couch in it.I looked over and he woke up looking over at me.
"Hey hot momma" He said standing up and kissing my cheek
I laughed weakly "Hi, where are Dakota and Ellie?"
"The nurses wanted to keep them and clean them up, ill ask someone to bring them" He said and walked out of the room
I took a deep breath and looked around the room.I knew I shouldn't get up because I could feel the stitches inside of me.
Luke and a nurse came back rolling in with a clear basket and rolled it over to the side of my bed.
"Hey mommy, These are your babies" The nurse said smiling
I looked at them, they had a little bit of hair and it was a dark dirty blonde.The perfect mix of my hair and lukes.Dakota opened her eyes and I looked into them.
"Oh my gosh" I started to tear up and I sat up a little "Her eyes.. they're beautiful"
"Theirs both are like that, except opposite sides" The nurse said
They have two different colored eyes, one blue one brown. Dakotas were the right eye was blue and Ellies the left.The nurse picked up Dakota and laid her on one side of my chest and Ellie on the other.
I started to cry "It's true, you don't know love until you have kids"
Luke sat on the side of the bed and wiped my tears with his thumb "Perfect family"
I smiled and looked at him still crying "Perfect family"
He kissed me and Dakota grunted
I pulled away and laughed "She's going to be Dakota" I kissed the top of her head
Luke laughed a little
The doctor came in and went over everything about health and tips about me and the babies and what Luke can do to help.After two days we left and went home, I walked them up to their room and opened the door.I admired the grey walls and pink drapes with the cloths hanging from the cribs and the pink on the changing table.I started to cry again and Luke hugged me from behind.I walked in to the girls room and laid them in their separate cribs, turning on the baby monitors and getting Luke to turn on the ones around the house.
Vee and the rest of the band came over to see them, we spent the night in the living room playing video games and messing with Dakota and El.My life has changed a lot the past year, I met the band my best friend and I have known since I was 13 and I dated the one I had a crush on and had his baby while Vee moved in with Michael and dated him.I had Luke's beautiful babies and moved into the most perfect house with him.
It's Incredible.
