"Not pregnant yet, if you were wondering" I said putting a negative pregnancy test on a napkin infront of Luke, jumping on the island counter
"It's been over a week, the girls took less time than that" He turned and looked at me
I sighed "I've been thinking, Maybe we should just let it be"
"What do you mean?" He furrowed his eyebrows
"Whatever happens, happens. you know? Like we don't have tp put a condom on and I don't take birth control, and we don't necessarily try but just let it happen if it does. If it's meant to be then it will happen right?" I looked at him concerned
He nodded "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea"
"Okay" I smiled "Get dinner done quick, the girls are getting grumpy"
He laughed "Yes ma'm" then turned around to the stove
I jumped off the counter and walked into the living room to the girls watching tv and sitting on the couch.I sat next to them and they jumped into my lap and wrapped their arms around me.I laughed and held them close.
After a few minutes Luke peeked around the kitchen door and smiled "Dinners ready"
"YAYYY!!" The girls shouted and jumped off my lap and went running into the kitchen
I laughed and stood up walking into the kitchen too.When we all got in I made a plate for Dakota and I while Luke made one for Ellie and him.Then we sat at the table and ate, then after Luke and I gave the girls a bath and put them in bed.
After a few hours of TV cuddled up on the couch with Luke, we went to bed.The next morning I woke up on his chest and him kissing the tip of my nose.I smiled and kissed him softly.
He kissed back then spoke with his morning voice "Good morning princess"
"Good morning" I smiled and bit my lip a little
Just then the girls ran in and jumped on the bed "GOOD MORNING MOMMY AND DADDY!!!"
"AAH KIDDO ATTACK!" I shouted and pulled them down between Luke and I and tickled them
Luke laughed and helped me tickle them
"OKAY OKAY STOP IT!!" They screamed between giggles
We all laughed and Luke and I stopped tickling them
"Who wants breakfast?" I said
"ME!!" Luke and the girls all said at once
I laughed and got out of bed, slipping on my robe before Dakota Jumped into my arms.I laughed and carried her down and Luke followed with Ellie on his shoulders.We went into the kitchen and I sat Dakota on the counter and opened the cabinet pulling out a box of cereal.Luke already had the milk and 4 bowls out by the time I turned around. We made the bowls and ate all together, enjoying some family time.After breakfast they had a sleepover with one of their friends from school so we went and dropped them off.
As we pulled off from their friends house I said "we should invite Vee and Mikey over for the night"
"Good idea, I'll call Mikey when we get home" he replies
I nodded and we went home.After we got there Luke called Michael and they said yes to the date for later tonight.Then right before they came over I made hot chocolate.
"What's the Hot cocoa for?" Michael said as Luke lead them into the kitchen and I was taking the hot cocoa off the stove.
"Just to warm us up since its kinda chilly out" I smiled and poured hot cocoa from the pot into 4 mugs
"We're gonna be outside?" Vee tunes in
I nodded and smiled brightly "Grab a mug and come on" I picked up two mugs and walked outside, Mikey, Vee and Luke following.I quickly stepped to the side and Luke climbed up a ladder to the roof of our little shed in the backyard, then I handed him the mugs I was holding and climbed up too.Then Vee and mikey handed me their mugs and climbed up as well.We all got our cups and got bundled into a ton of blankets, laying back and relaxing.
"Hey guys?" Vee asked, looking at all of us beside her
We all kept watching the stars and Murmured "Hm?"
"Where do you think we'll be in another 15 years?" She answered, making our heads turn to her.
I pouted my lip and thought about it "Hell if I know, Maybe I'll be old n' wrinkly and physco put in a nursing home. Or you know, stay perfect like Lana Del Rey"
"Even if you were old n' wrinkly you'd still be the most beautiful woman in the universe" Luke said, us looking at each other.
I smiled and he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth.
"Get a room" Michael chuckled, Vee laughed with him
Luke and I laughed too "What about you, Vee?" I added
"Hm.. I'm not sure. Maybe Ill be like one of those legendary old ladies that fight monsters and aliens and shit" She pulled a face, meaning to be a monster and we all laughed
Michael chuckled along "I'd still be there by your side, less of the monster hunting but more like sitting on my ass and eating pizza. but still, by your side" He said, making us laugh harder
We revisited old memories, Talked about everything we love and or hate.Just spending the majority of the night on that roof, goofing around as If we were still 18.
