I jumped up in bed and gasped breathing heavily.I looked around the pitch black room and look over at Luke asleep next to me.I got out of bed and walked out of the room to the nursery.I peeked in slight fear and turned on the lamp beside the door.I sighed of relief and walked between their cribs and looked at the both of them sound asleep.I walked to the window in the center of the back wall and peeked out the sheer drapes.I furrow my eyebrows thinking I see someone outside staring up at the window.Just then I feel someone slip their hands around my hips and kiss the back of my neck warmly.
"What're you doing up, princess?" Luke breathed on my neck trying not to wake up the girls
"Do you see that?" I whispered still looking out the window
He peeked over my shoulder looking out the window "Yeah, that's the tree we planned on making a tree house in when the girls get older" he smiled
"Oh, in the dark it kind of looks like someone's looking up at this window" I laughed softly
He laughed with me "yeah, it does" He twirled me around facing him "But you didn't answer my question, why're you up?"
"Nightmare, thought I saw.. him, in the nursery watching the girls.It just freaked me out that's all" I smiled weakly and put my hands on his chest looking at the healing cuts on my arms
"Oh alright, well wake me up next time.I'll take care of you and them, baby" He picked up my chin with two fingers and smiled
I nodded "I just knew you haven't been getting much sleep, I figured you should rest"
"We both should, let's go back to bed" He grabbed my hand
"Okay" I said and he lead us back to the bedroom after I turned off the lamp
We went back to bed and woke up the next morning at 8am.I sat up and looked at Luke still asleep.I put my hand on his shoulder and shook him.
"Babe, can you make coffee? I'm going to get the girls" I said looking at him
He turned over and looked at me and grabbed my hand gently looking at my cuts.
"I'll get the girls, you go rest" He smiled
I rolled my eyes and pulled my hand away from him "I'm gonna get the girls" I got out of bed and walked to the nursery.I walked up to Dakota's crib and she was awake smiling.I laughed and smiled.
"Good morning Sweetheart" I picked her up and put her on my hip then walked over to Ellie's crib picking her up on the other hip.
"Let's go get you two fed" I smiled and kissed their cheeks
I walked down stairs and put them in their playpen with some toys and walked into the kitchen to make them bottles.I stood next to Luke putting the formula and water in their bottles as he made coffee.I felt him look at me and I picked the bottles up putting my fingers over the holes and shook them walking away quietly.I put the bottles on the coffee table and picked Ellie up and fed her first.Dakota played with some toys and pulled herself up holding onto the rim of the playpen and looked at us.
I laughed and looked at her "I'll feed you in a second baby girl"
When Ellie finished her bottle I burped her and put her in the playpen then fed Dakota.After they were Fed I changed their diapers and got the dressed, then put them in the playpen pulling it infront of the tv and putting on Clifford.
I laid back on the couch and sighed as Luke walked in and sat beside me handing me a cup of coffee.I grabbed it and took a sip.
"Thank you" I turned for a second and quickly kissed his cheek and he smiled.
We watched tv with the girls for a bit then I looked over at Luke "Lunch?"
"Yes, please" He smiled
"Okay, I'll make something" I smiled and stood up then kissed him
He kissed back and I pulled away still close to his face and he bit his lip then kissed me quickly.I laughed and walked into the kitchen to make some lunch.After we ate Luke fed the girls a couple more bottles and changed them.
"You know, we've been here for almost a year and haven't used the pool once" I looked at him
"Want to today? It's pretty warm out and the girls have floats so we can bring them too" He looked back at me
I nodded "I'll get the girls into their swim stuff"
"Okay" He smiled as I got up
I picked them both up and walked upstairs to the nursery.I dug into the grey dresser and pulled out water-safe diapers and some matching swim suits.I put Dakota on the Changing table and Ellie in her crib, changing Dakota into one of the diapers and white ruffle one piece, then changed ellie into the other.Once they were dressed I handed them to Luke who already had his swimsuit on and walked back upstairs to our bedroom.I pulled out a yellow and white low cut back one piece and slipped it on.I pulled my hair back and walked downstairs.
"Ready?" I said to Luke while he was holding the girls
"Yeah, i've got all of the floaties and stuff outside already" He smiled
I nodded and walked out the back door in the kitchen to the pool.I picked up the girls arm floats and slipped them on their arms before we got in, then luke sat them in little round duck floats with seats so they can float around.
I Laughed as Dakota started hitting the ducks beak and she started laughing too.Ellie looked at her and started laughing weird which made luke bust out laughing.Dakota reached out her arms to Luke and smiled showing her gums.
"Aw" He awed as he pulled her out of the seat and held her
Ellie looked at them and started to fake cry and she looked at me.
"Oh my gosh" I laughed and picked El up holding her to my chest
Luke looked at me smiling "I love you, so much"
"I love you too" I said
After a while we Put the girls back in their seats and I got out of the pool, I sat on a towel and dried off then laid back in the sun and breathed deeply feeling the warmth on my skin.I felt Luke staring at me so I propped myself up on my elbow and peeked at him under my sunglasses.
"What're you looking at?"
"The sexiest woman in the world" he bit his lip smiling
I laughed and laid back down tanning.
After a half hour we all went back inside and changed into comfortable clothes.I stood infront of the body mirror slightly pulling the pair of likes sweatpants and my underwear I was wearing down on my hip to see my tan line.
Luke walked up behind me, our sides to the mirror and wrapped his arms around me looking at the tan-line in the mirror.
"Fuck you're hot" He laughed softly and smiled
"You're hot too, daddy" I laughed sexily and turned to him
He cupped my cheeks in his hands and kissed me tenderly, slowly rubbing my face with his thumb.He pulled away and we both smiled.We watched a couple movies until it was time to go to bed, then we fed the girls and put them to sleep and went to sleep too.
