The Devotion that comes with marriage is extremely overwhelming, and I'm not going to lie it's given me a couple panic attacks today.But none the less I know I want to marry this man, he's the love of my life.The father of my two beautiful girls, and last but certainly not least.. my best friend.No, he doesn't replace Venus, because she's my unbiological sister, also the love of my life.In a different sense, of course.But Luke is.. Well it's hard to put it into words.I Truly would break myself down, destroy myself if it meant he could be happy as can be and have everything he'd ever want or need.This man, He means the absolute world to me, and I love him so much.
I sat in a chair in one of the rooms in this big mansion we rented out for the wedding while I got my makeup and hair done next to Venus.She had her deep red bridesmaid dress on and was getting her hair curled after having her makeup done and eyeshadow to match the dress.I looked over at her and she looked back at me.I smiled and reached over holding out my hand and she smiled as she grabbed it.I laughed quietly and she did too.
After we had our makeup and hair done she helped me into my dress.I was standing infront of a body mirror as I slipped on the long red silk gown and Vee zipped up the back.I teared up a bit and wiped it away trying not to disturb my makeup.I admired the long back dragging behind me flawlessly.Vee pulled a gold necklace with diamonds encrusted in the center around my neck clasping it on.I smiled big and put on a white veil gently pushing it into my updo bun hair letting it gracefully fall to my mid back.I put my left hand on my chest admiring the gold plated engagement ring next to the necklace and the outfit entirely.
I stepped into my white heels and turned to Vee smiling and tearing up again.
"You look amazing, But don't cry. You'll mess up your makeup and Taylor will be pissed" We both laughed as she referred to the makeup artist.The Minister knocked on the door and pushed it open slightly.
"Ready?" He smiled and Vee and I nodded.I grabbed my bouquet and He lead us down the stairs and to the doors that were going to open to lead to the isle.he slipped out and the music started to play.The doors dramatically pulled open and I walked a bit down the isle as Vee followed dropping white dandelions behind me on the red carpet.Then Vee's dad stood up from the back row and bent his arm gesturing for me to tangle mine into it.I smiled and did so as he walked me down the isle, then I looked at Luke noticing him tearing up too.I admired his white Tux and red tie as we walked down the isle.Once we reached the end Venus' dad hugged me and sat down as I walked up the seps to the minister, Luke and the boys behind him.Vee stood behind me smiling as the minister started to speak.
"Dearly Beloved, we gather here today in presence of these witnesses.To join Luke Robert Hemmings and Nova Vivian Taylor in matrimony commended to be honorable among all; and therefore is not to be entered into lightly but reverently, passionately, lovingly and solemnly. Into this - these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace." He smiled and looked into the separate sets of chairs dividing mine and Lukes families.
He paused for a moment then went on with the rest of the ceremony until the Vows.
"Nova, you may speak first." He looked at me and I smiled biting my lip a bit.
I looked back and handed my bouquet to Vee then reached out my hands grabbing Lukes and spoke "Luke, You have made me so happy.Since the night we met I knew you'd be one of the best things to ever happen to me.Even though we've been together for so long now, You still give me little butterflies in my stomach when I even think about you.You're such an amazing person and I could never imagine wanting to spend the rest of my life with anyone other than you.I promise i'll always give you my all, I'll always be here for you whenever you may need me.I love you more than anything and anyone and I'm so happy to have the honor of calling you mine."
The minister wiped a tear off his cheek quickly then looked at Luke "Luke, you may speak now"
He nodded and smiled trying not to cry "Nova,baby.You mean the absolute world to me and I have no clue what i'd be doing without you.You've made me so complete, given me the most beautiful children and given me so much love.I love you more than words can express and I'll never be able to explain or show you how grateful I am for you.Before, I was scared of this whole.. Marriage thing.But after I met you, I knew that very moment I wanted to live the rest of my life with you by my side.I don't know how you put up with me, but you do.And I love you so much for doing that." a tear fell down his cheek and he broke his hands from mine and wiped it away
I smiled and laughed a little pushing my tears away getting a tad bit of mascara on my finger.
Then Ashton came around Lukes shoulder with the rings, I picked up the one for Luke and Luke grabbed the one for me.I held out my Left hand and he slid the ring above the engagement ring.Then I did the same for him.
"Now you may kiss the bride" The minister said and both Ashton and him stepped out of the way
Luke wrapped his arms around my was it picking me up and smashing his lips against mine.I smiled kissing him and wrapping my arms around his neck and tangling my fingers into the back of his hair.He then let me down and everyone clapped and whistled.After we had a party, ate the cake and got Dakota and Ellie around to meet some of our family they hadn't yet.
"Time to throw the bouquet!" Venus said as I gave Dakota to Vee and I's grandmother and she handed me the bouquet.
A group of our friends along with Vee got into a small crowd as I got a couple feet away and turned around."Ready?!" I shouted and they screamed
I Lifted up my arms with the flowers in my hands then stopped turning around and everyone other than Vee stepped back.I smiled and Vee looked confused as I walked up and handed her the bouquet. She laughed and I stepped beside her as Michael walked out from the crowd in a Tux and he got on one knee infront of her.
"Venus, I've loved you since I first laid eyes on you.I have thought of this moment since then too, I just never could ask for anyone more perfect than you are.So.. Will you marry me?" He smiled opening a small white box revealing a ring
She gasped and started to cry "Yes" She nodded "Yes yes yes a trillion times yes!"
He stood up and kissed her and she kissed back.Everyone laughed a little and he put the ring on her finger.After we celebrated more then that night Luke and I spent time with Dakota and Ellie and stayed in eating pizza and watching old disney/pixar movies.
